¹ [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David Song] Praise is rightful y yours, God, in Zion. Vows to you shallbe fulfil ed,	¹ Magistro chori. Psalmus. David. Canticum.
² for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you	² Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion; et tibi reddetur votum in Ierusalem.
³ with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.	³ Qui audis orationem, ad te omnis caro veniet propter iniquitatem.
⁴ How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.	⁴ Etsi praevaluerunt super nos impietates nostrae, tu propitiaberis eis.
⁵ You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.	⁵ Beatus, quem elegisti et assumpsisti; inhabitabit in atriis tuis. Replebimur bonis domus tuae, sanctitate templi tui.
⁶ By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,	⁶ Mirabiliter in aequitate exaudies nos, Deus salutis nostrae, spes omnium finium terrae et maris longinqui.
⁷ you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;	⁷ Firmans montes in virtute tua, accinctus potentia.
⁸ your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.	⁸ Compescens sonitum maris, sonitum fluctuum eius et tumultum populorum.
⁹ You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end	⁹ Et timebunt, qui habitant terminos terrae, a signis tuis; exitus orientis et occidentis delectabis.
¹⁰ you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.	¹⁰ Visitasti terram et inebriasti eam; multiplicasti locupletare eam. Flumen Dei repletum est aquis; parasti frumenta illorum, quoniam ita parasti eam.
¹¹ You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,	¹¹ Sulcos eius irrigans, glebas eius complanans; imbribus emollis eam, benedicis germini eius.
¹² the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,	¹² Coronasti annum benignitate tua, et vestigia tua stillabunt pinguedinem.
¹³ the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.	¹³ Stillabunt pascua deserti, et exsultatione colles accingentur.
	¹⁴ Induta sunt ovibus prata, et valles abundabunt frumento; clamabunt, etenim hymnum dicent.
