2 for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you	2 Dir gebührt Lobgesang, Gott, auf dem Zion, dir erfüllt man Gelübde.
3 with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.	3 Du erhörst die Gebete. Alle Menschen kommen zu dir
4 How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.	4 unter der Last ihrer Sünden. Unsere Schuld ist zu groß für uns, du wirst sie vergeben.
5 You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.	5 Wohl denen, die du erwählst und in deine Nähe holst, die in den Vorhöfen deines Heiligtums wohnen. Wir wollen uns am Gut deines Hauses sättigen, am Gut deines Tempels.
6 By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,	6 Du vollbringst erstaunliche Taten, erhörst uns in Treue, du Gott unsres Heiles, du Zuversicht aller Enden der Erde und der fernsten Gestade.
7 you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;	7 Du gründest die Berge in deiner Kraft, du gürtest dich mit Stärke.
8 your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.	8 Du stillst das Brausen der Meere, das Brausen ihrer Wogen, das Tosen der Völker.
9 You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end	9 Alle, die an den Enden der Erde wohnen, erschauern vor deinen Zeichen; Ost und West erfüllst du mit Jubel.
10 you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.	10 Du sorgst für das Land und tränkst es; du überschüttest es mit Reichtum. Der Bach Gottes ist reichlich gefüllt, du schaffst ihnen Korn; so ordnest du alles.
11 You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,	11 Du tränkst die Furchen, ebnest die Schollen, machst sie weich durch Regen, segnest ihre Gewächse.
12 the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,	12 Du krönst das Jahr mit deiner Güte, deinen Spuren folgt Überfluss.
13 the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.	13 In der Steppe prangen die Auen, die Höhen umgürten sich mit Jubel.
