2 for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you	2 A ti, oh Dios, te corresponde un canto de alabanza en Sión, y todos tienen que cumplir sus votos,
3 with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.	3 porque tú escuchas las plegarias. A ti acuden todos los hombres
4 How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.	4 bajo el peso de sus culpas; nuestras faltas nos abruman, pero tú las perdonas.
5 You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.	5 Feliz el que tú eliges y atraes para que viva en tus atrios: ¡que nos saciemos con los bienes de tu Casa, con los dones sagrados de tu Templo!
6 By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,	6 Por tu justicia, Dios, salvador nuestro, nos respondes con obras admirables: tú eres la esperanza de los confines de la tierra y de las islas más remotas.
7 you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;	7 Tú afianzas las montañas con tu poder, revestido de fortaleza;
8 your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.	8 acallas el rugido de los mares, el estruendo de las olas y el tumulto de los pueblos.
9 You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end	9 Los que habitan en las tierras más lejanas temen tus obras prodigiosas; tú haces que canten de alegría el oriente y el occidente.
10 you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.	10 Visitas la tierra, la haces fértil y la colmas de riquezas; los canales de Dios desbordan de agua, y así preparas sus trigales:
11 You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,	11 riegas los surcos de la tierra, emparejas sus terrones; la ablandas con aguaceros y bendices sus brotes.
12 the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,	12 Tú coronas el año con tus bienes, y a tu paso rebosa la abundancia;
13 the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.	13 rebosan los pastos del desierto y las colinas se ciñen de alegría.
	14 Las praderas se cubren de rebaños y los valles se revisten de trigo: todos ellos aclaman y cantan.
