1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,	1 - Salmo di David. O Signore, io grido a te, ascoltami!bada alla mia voce, mentre io grido a te.
2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;	2 Salga la mia preghiera come incenso al tuo cospetto, l'elevar delle mie mani [sia come] il sacrifizio della sera.
3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause	3 Poni, o Signore, una guardia alla mia boccae una porta di circonvallazione alle mie labbra.
4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,	4 Non inclinare il mio cuore a parole malvagie, a commettere azioni colpevoli. Con gli uomini che operan l'iniquità, non voglio aver parte alle loro delizie.
5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause	5 Mi castighi il giusto con carità e mi riprenda; ma l'olio [profumato] del peccatore non impingui il mio capo. Perchè anche la mia preghiera è sempre contro le loro predilezioni.
6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.	6 Vanno a fondo, attaccati a una pietra, i loro duci: udiran le mie parole, chè son potenti!
7 Yahweh my Lord, my saving strength, you shield my head when battle comes.	7 Come la spessezza del terreno è rotta [dall'aratro e sparsa] sulla terra, [così] son sparpagliate le ossa loro lungo gl'Inferi.
8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers	8 Perciò a te, o Signore, o Signore, [son rivolti] i miei occhi: in te io spero [e mi rifugio], non [lasciar] rapir l'anima mia.
9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.	9 Guardami dal laccio che m'ha tesoe dalle trappole degli operatori d'iniquità.
10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.	10 Cadano nella lor rete gli empi: io a parte me ne sto, sinchè [incolume] sarò passato.
11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
