1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,	1 Magistro chori. Psalmus. David.
2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;	2 Eripe me, Domine, ab homine malo, a viro violentiae serva me.
3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause	3 Qui cogitaverunt mala in corde, tota die constituebant proelia.
4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,	4 Acuerunt linguas suas sicut serpentis, venenum aspidum sub labiis eorum.
5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause	5 Custodi me, Domine, de manu peccatoris et a viro violentiae serva me, qui cogitaverunt supplantare gressus meos.
6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.	6 Absconderunt superbi laqueum mihi et funes extenderunt in rete, iuxta iter offendicula posuerunt mihi.
7 Yahweh my Lord, my saving strength, you shield my head when battle comes.	7 Dixi Domino: “ Deus meus es tu; auribus percipe, Domine, vocem deprecationis meae ”.
8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers	8 Domine, Domine, virtus salutis meae, obumbrasti caput meum in die belli.
9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.	9 Ne concedas, Domine, desideria impii; consilia eius ne perficias. Exaltant
10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.	10 caput, qui circumdant me; malitia labiorum ipsorum operiat eos.
11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.	11 Cadant super eos carbones ignis, in foveas deicias eos, et non exsurgant.
12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.	12 Vir linguosus non firmabitur in terra, virum violentiae mala capient in interitu.
13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.	13 Cognovi quia faciet Dominus iudicium inopis et vindictam pauperum.
	14 Verumtamen iusti confitebuntur nomini tuo, et habitabunt recti in conspectu tuo.
