Job 13

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 I have seen all this with my own eyes, heard with my own ears and understood.	1 Seht, all das hat mein Auge gesehen, mein Ohr gehört und wohl gemerkt.
2 Whatever you know, I know too; I am in no way inferior to you.	2 Was ihr wisst, weiß ich auch; ich falle nicht ab im Vergleich mit euch.
3 But my words are intended for Shaddai; I mean to remonstrate with God.	3 Doch ich will zum Allmächtigen reden, mit Gott zu rechten ist mein Wunsch.
4 As for you, you are only charlatans, all worthless as doctors!	4 Ihr aber seid nur Lügentüncher, untaugliche Ärzte alle.
5 Wil no one teach you to be quiet -- the only wisdom that becomes you!	5 Dass ihr endlich schweigen wolltet; das würde Weisheit für euch sein.
6 Kindly listen to my accusation and give your attention to the way I shall plead.	6 Hört doch meinen Rechtsbeweis, merkt auf die Streitreden meiner Lippen!
7 Do you mean to defend God by prevarication and by dishonest argument,	7 Wollt ihr für Gott Verkehrtes reden und seinetwegen Lügen sprechen?
8 and, taking his side like this, appoint yourselves as his advocates?	8 Wollt ihr für ihn Partei ergreifen, für Gott den Rechtsstreit führen?
9 How would you fare, if he were to scrutinise you? Can he be duped as mortals are duped?	9 Ginge es gut, wenn er euch durchforschte, könnt ihr ihn täuschen, wie man Menschen täuscht?
10 He would inflict a harsh rebuke on you for your covert partiality.	10 In harte Zucht wird er euch nehmen, wenn ihr heimlich Partei ergreift.
11 Does his majesty not affright you? Does his terror not overcome you?	11 Wird seine Hoheit euch nicht schrecken, nicht Schrecken vor ihm euch überfallen?
12 Your received ideas are maxims of ash, your retorts, retorts of clay.	12 Eure Merksätze sind Sprüche aus Staub, eure Schilde Schilde aus Lehm.
13 Be quiet! Kindly let me do the talking, happen to me what may.	13 Schweigt vor mir, damit ich reden kann. Dann komme auf mich, was mag.
14 I am putting my flesh between my teeth, I am taking my life in my hands;	14 Meinen Leib nehme ich zwischen die Zähne, in meine Hand leg ich mein Leben.
15 let him kill me if he will; I have no other hope than to justify my conduct in his eyes.	15 Er mag mich töten, ich harre auf ihn; doch meine Wege verteidige ich vor ihm.
16 And this is what wil save me, for the wicked would not dare to appear before him.	16 Schon das wird mir zum Heile dienen, kein Ruchloser kommt ja vor sein Angesicht.
17 Listen careful y to my words, and pay attention to what I am going to say.	17 Hört nun genau auf meine Rede, was ich erkläre vor euren Ohren.
18 You see, I shal proceed by form of law, knowing that I am upright.	18 Seht, ich bringe den Rechtsfall vor; ich weiß, ich bin im Recht.
19 Who wants to contest my case? In advance, I agree to be silenced and to die!	19 Wer ist es, der mit mir streitet? Gut, dann will ich schweigen und verscheiden.
20 Only grant me two concessions, and then I shal not hide away from your face:	20 Zwei Dinge nur tu mir nicht an, dann verberge ich mich nicht vor dir:
21 remove your hand, which lies so heavy on me, no longer make me cower from your terror.	21 Zieh deine Hand von mir zurück; nicht soll die Angst vor dir mich schrecken.
22 Then cal me forward and I shal answer, or rather, I shall speak and you wil answer.	22 Dann rufe und ich will Rede stehen oder ich rede und du antworte mir!
23 How many faults and crimes have I committed? Tell me what my misdeed has been, what my sin?	23 Wie viel habe ich an Sünden und Vergehen? Meine Schuld und mein Vergehen sag mir an!
24 Why do you hide your face and look on me as your enemy?	24 Warum verbirgst du dein Angesicht und siehst mich an als deinen Feind?
25 Do you want to intimidate a wind-blown leaf, do you want to pursue a dry straw?	25 Verwehtes Laub willst du noch scheuchen, dürre Spreu noch forttreiben?
26 You who lay bitter al egations against me and tax me with the faults of my youth	26 Denn Bitterkeit verschreibst du mir, teilst mir die Sünden meiner Jugend zu.
27 and have put my feet in the stocks; you examine my every step and measure my footprints one byone!	27 In den Block legst du meine Füße, du überwachst auch alle meine Pfade und zeichnest einen Strich um meiner Füße Sohlen.
28 For his part, he crumbles away like rotten wood, or like a moth-eaten garment,	28 Er selbst zerfällt wie Verfaultes, dem Kleide gleich, das die Motte fraß.
