NEW JERUSALEM	Pattloch Bibel
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 Jotam war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und sechzehn Jahre herrschte er in Jerusalem. Der Name seiner Mutter war Jeruscha; sie war die Tochter Zadoks.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 Er tat, was in den Augen des Herrn recht war, ganz wie sein Vater Ussia getan hatte. Nur drang er nicht in den Tempel des Herrn ein; das Volk aber handelte immer noch verkehrt.
3 It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh and carried out considerable work on thewal of the Ophel.	3 Er baute das obere Tor des Herrentempels. Auch an der Mauer des Ophel baute er viel.
4 He also built towns in the highlands of Judah and built forts and towers in the wooded areas.	4 Er baute Städte auf dem Gebirge Juda, und in den Waldgebieten legte er Burgen und Türme an.
5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 Er führte Krieg gegen den König der Ammoniter und besiegte diese. Die Ammoniter mußten ihm in jenem Jahr hundert Talente Silber, zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste liefern. Dieselbe Summe gaben ihm die Ammoniter auch im zweiten und dritten Jahr.
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 So erstarkte Jotam; denn er wandelte gerecht vor dem Herrn, seinem Gott.
7 The rest of the history of Jotham, al his wars and his policy, are recorded in the Book of the Kings ofIsrael and Judah.	7 Die übrigen Taten Jotams, alle seine Kriege und Unternehmungen, sind niedergeschrieben im Buch der Könige von Israel und Juda.

9 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors, and was buried in the City of David; his son Ahazsucceeded him.	9 Jotam entschlief zu seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn in der Davidsstadt. Sein Sohn Achas folgte ihm in der Königsherrschaft.
