NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 Huszonöt esztendős volt Jótám, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenhat esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyját, aki Szádok leánya volt, Jerusának hívták.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 Azt cselekedte, ami helyes az Úr előtt, egészen úgy, ahogy Ozija, az atyja cselekedett, azzal a különbséggel, hogy nem nem ment be az Úr templomába. A nép azonban még vétkezett.
3 It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh and carried out considerable work on thewal of the Ophel.	3 Ő építtette az Úr házának felső kapuját, és sokat építtetett az Ófel falon is.
4 He also built towns in the highlands of Judah and built forts and towers in the wooded areas.	4 Júda hegységében városokat, az erdőségekben pedig várakat és tornyokat építtetett.
5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 Ő hadakozott Ammon fiainak királya ellen és legyőzte őket, ezért abban az időben száz talentum ezüstöt, tízezer kór búzát s ugyanannyi kór árpát adtak neki Ammon fiai. Ugyanezt adták neki Ammon fiai a második és a harmadik esztendőben is.
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 Így erősödött meg Jótám, mivel az Úr, az ő Istene előtt járta útjait.
7 The rest of the history of Jotham, al his wars and his policy, are recorded in the Book of the Kings ofIsrael and Judah.	7 Jótám többi dolgát, valamennyi háborúját és cselekedetét megírták Izrael és Júda királyainak könyvében.

9 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors, and was buried in the City of David; his son Ahazsucceeded him.	9 Amikor aztán Jótám aludni tért atyáihoz, eltemették a Dávid-városban, s fia, Ácház lett a király helyette.
