2 Chronicles 27

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 كان يوثام ابن خمس وعشرين سنة حين ملك وملك ست عشرة سنة في اورشليم واسم امه يروشة بنت صادوق.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 وعمل المستقيم في عيني الرب حسب كل ما عمل عزيا ابوه الا انه لم يدخل هيكل الرب وكان الشعب يفسدون بعد.
3 It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh and carried out considerable work on thewal of the Ophel.	3 هو بنى الباب الاعلى لبيت الرب وبنى كثيرا على سور الاكمة.
4 He also built towns in the highlands of Judah and built forts and towers in the wooded areas.	4 وبنى مدنا في جبل يهوذا وبنى في الغابات قلعا وابراجا.
5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 وهو حارب ملك بني عمون وقوي عليهم فاعطاه بنو عمون في تلك السنة مئة وزنة من الفضة وعشرة آلاف كرّ قمح وعشرة آلاف من الشعير. هذا ما ادّاه له بنو عمون وكذلك في السنة الثانية والثالثة.
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 وتشدد يوثام لانه هيّأ طرقه امام الرب الهه.
7 The rest of the history of Jotham, al his wars and his policy, are recorded in the Book of the Kings ofIsrael and Judah.	7 وبقية أمور يوثام وكل حروبه وطرقه ها هي مكتوبة في سفر ملوك اسرائيل ويهوذا.
8 He was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem.	8 كان ابن خمسة وعشرين سنة حين ملك وملك ست عشرة سنة في اورشليم.
9 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors, and was buried in the City of David; his son Ahazsucceeded him.	9 ثم اضطجع يوثام مع آبائه فدفنوه في مدينة داود وملك آحاز ابنه عوضا عنه
