1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 Venticinque anni avea Joatham quando cominciò a regnare; e se dici anni regnò in Gerusalemme: sua madre ebbe nome Jerusa figliuola di Sadoc.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. 5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 Egli fece guerra al re degli Ammoniti, e li vinse, e gli Ammoniti allora gli diedero cento talenti di argento, e dieci mila cori di grano, e altrettanti di orzo: queste cose le diedero a lui gli Ammoniti l'anno secondo, e il terzo.
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 E Joatham diventò potente, perchè egli avea regolate le sue vie sul volere del Signore Dio suo.

9 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors, and was buried in the City of David; his son Ahazsucceeded him.	9 Indi Joatham si addormentò co' padri suoi, e fu sepolto nella città di David: e gli succedette nel regno Achaz suo figliuolo.
