NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 Ioatam aveva venticinque anni quando cominciò a regnare, e regnò sedici anni in Gerusalemme. Sua madre si chiamava Ierusa, figlia di Sadoc.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 Egli fece quello che era giusto dinanzi al Signore, secondo tutto quello che aveva fatto Ozia suo padre, eccetto che egli non entrò nel tempio del Signore, ma il popolo seguitava a peccare.

5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 Egli com­battè contro il re dei figli d'Ammon e li vinse. 6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 Così Ioatam divenne potente, perchè aveva indirizzate le sue vie nel cospetto del Signore Dio suo.
