2 Chronicles 27

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 Jotam tenía veinticinco años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Ierusá y era hija de Sadoc.
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 El hizo lo que es recto a los ojos del Señor, como había hecho su padre Ozías, pero no entró en el Templo del Señor. Mientras tanto, el pueblo seguía corrompiéndose.
3 It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh and carried out considerable work on thewal of the Ophel.	3 Fue él quien construyó la puerta superior de la Casa del Señor, e hizo muchas obras en el muro de Ofel.
4 He also built towns in the highlands of Judah and built forts and towers in the wooded areas.	4 Construyó asimismo ciudades en la montaña de Judá, y edificó fortines y torres en los bosques.
5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 Combatió contra el rey de los amonitas y lo venció. Aquel año, los amonitas le entregaron cien talentos de plata, diez mil medidas de trigo y diez mil de cebada. Lo mismo le pagaron el segundo y el tercer año.
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 Jotam se hizo poderoso, porque procedía rectamente ante el Señor, su Dios.
