2 Chronicles 27

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.	1 υιος εικοσι πεντε ετων ιωαθαμ εν τω βασιλευσαι αυτον και δεκα εξ ετη εβασιλευσεν εν ιερουσαλημ και ονομα της μητρος αυτου ιερουσα θυγατηρ σαδωκ
2 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not enterYahweh's sanctuary. But the people continued to do wrong.	2 και εποιησεν το ευθες ενωπιον κυριου κατα παντα οσα εποιησεν οζιας ο πατηρ αυτου αλλ' ουκ εισηλθεν εις τον ναον κυριου και ετι ο λαος κατεφθειρετο
3 It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh and carried out considerable work on thewal of the Ophel.	3 αυτος ωκοδομησεν την πυλην οικου κυριου την υψηλην και εν τειχει του οφλα ωκοδομησεν πολλα
4 He also built towns in the highlands of Judah and built forts and towers in the wooded areas.	4 και πολεις ωκοδομησεν εν ορει ιουδα και εν τοις δρυμοις και οικησεις και πυργους
5 He also went to war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them; and the Ammonites had togive him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kor of wheat and ten thousand of barley that year. And theAmmonites paid him the same amount, the second and third years afterwards.	5 αυτος εμαχεσατο προς βασιλεα υιων αμμων και κατισχυσεν επ' αυτον και εδιδουν αυτω οι υιοι αμμων κατ' ενιαυτον εκατον ταλαντα αργυριου και δεκα χιλιαδας κορων πυρου και κριθων δεκα χιλιαδας ταυτα εφερεν αυτω βασιλευς αμμων κατ' ενιαυτον εν τω πρωτω ετει και τω δευτερω και τω τριτω
6 Jotham became powerful because he kept an unswerving course before Yahweh his God.	6 και κατισχυσεν ιωαθαμ οτι ητοιμασεν τας οδους αυτου εναντι κυριου θεου αυτου
7 The rest of the history of Jotham, al his wars and his policy, are recorded in the Book of the Kings ofIsrael and Judah.	7 και οι λοιποι λογοι ιωαθαμ και ο πολεμος και αι πραξεις αυτου ιδου γεγραμμενοι επι βιβλιω βασιλεων ιουδα και ισραηλ
8 He was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem.	8 -
9 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors, and was buried in the City of David; his son Ahazsucceeded him.	9 και εκοιμηθη ιωαθαμ μετα των πατερων αυτου και εταφη εν πολει δαυιδ και εβασιλευσεν αχαζ υιος αυτου αντ' αυτου
