1 Orders of the sons of Aaron: Sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, Ithamar.	1 וְלִבְנֵי אַהֲרֹן מַחְלְקֹותָם בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר
2 Nadab and Abihu died in their father's lifetime leaving no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar fil ed theoffice of priest.	2 וַיָּמָת נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא לִפְנֵי אֲבִיהֶם וּבָנִים לֹא־הָיוּ לָהֶם וַיְכַהֲנוּ אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר
3 With Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, David allocated themaccording to the classification of their duties.	3 וַיֶּחָלְקֵם דָּוִיד וְצָדֹוק מִן־בְּנֵי אֶלְעָזָר וַאֲחִימֶלֶךְ מִן־בְּנֵי אִיתָמָר לִפְקֻדָּתָם בַּעֲבֹדָתָם
4 Since the sons of Eleazar were found to have more headmen than the sons of Ithamar, they allocatedsixteen heads of families to the sons of Eleazar and eight heads of families to the sons of Ithamar.	4 וַיִּמָּצְאוּ בְנֵי־אֶלְעָזָר רַבִּים לְרָאשֵׁי הַגְּבָרִים מִן־בְּנֵי אִיתָמָר וַיַּחְלְקוּם לִבְנֵי אֶלְעָזָר רָאשִׁים לְבֵית־אָבֹות שִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר וְלִבְנֵי אִיתָמָר לְבֵית אֲבֹותָם שְׁמֹונָה
5 They al ocated them by lot, both alike, there being religious officials and officials of God among thesons of Eleazar, as among the sons of Ithamar.	5 וַיַּחְלְקוּם בְּגֹורָלֹות אֵלֶּה עִם־אֵלֶּה כִּי־הָיוּ שָׂרֵי־קֹדֶשׁ וְשָׂרֵי הָאֱלֹהִים מִבְּנֵי אֶלְעָזָר וּבִבְנֵי אִיתָמָר׃ ס
6 The levitical scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, recorded them in the presence of the king, the leaders,Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar and the heads of the priestly and levitical families, so that twofamilies were selected for Eleazar for each one selected for Ithamar.	6 וַיִּכְתְּבֵם שְׁמַעְיָה בֶן־נְתַנְאֵל הַסֹּופֵר מִן־הַלֵּוִי לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַשָּׂרִים וְצָדֹוק הַכֹּהֵן וַאֲחִימֶלֶךְ בֶּן־אֶבְיָתָר וְרָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם בֵּית־אָב אֶחָד אָחֻז לְאֶלְעָזָר וְאָחֻז ׀ אָחֻז לְאִיתָמָר׃ פ
7 The first lot fel to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,	7 וַיֵּצֵא הַגֹּורָל הָרִאשֹׁון לִיהֹויָרִיב לִידַעְיָה הַשֵּׁנִי
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,	8 לְחָרִם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי לִשְׂעֹרִים הָרְבִעִי
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,	9 לְמַלְכִּיָּה הַחֲמִישִׁי לְמִיָּמִן הַשִּׁשִּׁי
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,	10 לְהַקֹּוץ הַשְּׁבִעִי לַאֲבִיָּה הַשְּׁמִינִי
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,	11 לְיֵשׁוּעַ הַתְּשִׁעִי לִשְׁכַנְיָהוּ הָעֲשִׂרִי
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,	12 לְאֶלְיָשִׁיב עַשְׁתֵּי עָשָׂר לְיָקִים שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר
13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Ishbaal,	13 לְחֻפָּה שְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר לְיֶשֶׁבְאָב אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,	14 לְבִלְגָּה חֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר לְאִמֵּר שִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר
15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,	15 לְחֵזִיר שִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר לְהַפִּצֵּץ שְׁמֹונָה עָשָׂר
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,	16 לִפְתַחְיָה תִּשְׁעָה עָשָׂר לִיחֶזְקֵאל הָעֶשְׂרִים
17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,	17 לְיָכִין אֶחָד וְעֶשְׂרִים לְגָמוּל שְׁנַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים
18 the twenty- third to Delaiah and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.	18 לִדְלָיָהוּ שְׁלֹשָׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְמַעַזְיָהוּ אַרְבָּעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים׃ פ
19 These were their classifications for their duties when they entered the House of Yahweh inaccordance with their prescriptions laid down by Aaron their ancestor as Yahweh, God of Israel, hadcommanded him.	19 אֵלֶּה פְקֻדָּתָם לַעֲבֹדָתָם לָבֹוא לְבֵית־יְהוָה כְּמִשְׁפָּטָם בְּיַד אַהֲרֹן אֲבִיהֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּהוּ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ פ
20 As regards the rest of the sons of Levi: Of the sons of Amram: Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael:Jehdeiah.	20 וְלִבְנֵי לֵוִי הַנֹּותָרִים לִבְנֵי עַמְרָם שׁוּבָאֵל לִבְנֵי שׁוּבָאֵל יֶחְדְּיָהוּ
21 As regards Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah: Isshiah, the first one.	21 לִרְחַבְיָהוּ לִבְנֵי רְחַבְיָהוּ הָרֹאשׁ יִשִּׁיָּה
22 Of the sons of Izhar: Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.	22 לַיִּצְהָרִי שְׁלֹמֹות לִבְנֵי שְׁלֹמֹות יָחַת
23 Of the sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.	23 וּבְנָי יְרִיָּהוּ אֲמַרְיָהוּ הַשֵּׁנִי יַחֲזִיאֵל הַשְּׁלִישִׁי יְקַמְעָם הָרְבִיעִי
24 The son of Uzziel was Micah; of the sons of Micah: Shamir.	24 בְּנֵי עֻזִּיאֵל מִיכָה לִבְנֵי מִיכָה [שָׁמוּר כ] (שָׁמִיר׃ ק)
25 The brother of Micah was Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.	25 אֲחִי מִיכָה יִשִּׁיָּה לִבְנֵי יִשִּׁיָּה זְכַרְיָהוּ
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; of his sons: Jaaziah his son.	26 בְּנֵי מְרָרִי מַחְלִי וּמוּשִׁי בְּנֵי יַעֲזִיָּהוּ בְנֹו
27 The sons of Merari by his son Jaaziah were Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.	27 בְּנֵי מְרָרִי לְיַעֲזִיָּהוּ בְנֹו וְשֹׁהַם וְזַכּוּר וְעִבְרִי
28 Of Mahli, there was Eleazar who had no sons,	28 לְמַחְלִי אֶלְעָזָר וְלֹא־הָיָה לֹו בָּנִים
29 and Kish; and of the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.	29 לְקִישׁ בְּנֵי־קִישׁ יְרַחְמְאֵל
30 The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth. These were the Levites according to families.	30 וּבְנֵי מוּשִׁי מַחְלִי וְעֵדֶר וִירִימֹות אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי הַלְוִיִּם לְבֵית אֲבֹתֵיהֶם
31 Like their kinsmen, the sons of Aaron, these heads of families, senior and junior alike, also drew lotsin the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the priestly and levitical families.	31 וַיַּפִּילוּ גַם־הֵם גֹּורָלֹות לְעֻמַּת ׀ אֲחֵיהֶם בְּנֵי־אַהֲרֹן לִפְנֵי דָוִיד הַמֶּלֶךְ וְצָדֹוק וַאֲחִימֶלֶךְ וְרָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם אָבֹות הָרֹאשׁ לְעֻמַּת אָחִיו הַקָּטָן׃ ס
