1 Orders of the sons of Aaron: Sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, Ithamar.	1 Voici les groupes selon lesquels se répartissent les fils d’Aaron. Fils d’Aaron: Nadab, Abihou, Éléazar et Itamar.
2 Nadab and Abihu died in their father's lifetime leaving no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar fil ed theoffice of priest.	2 Nadab et Abihou moururent avant leur père sans laisser de fils. Seuls Éléazar et Itamar exercèrent le sacerdoce.
3 With Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, David allocated themaccording to the classification of their duties.	3 David, aidé de Sadoq, fils d’Éléazar, et d’Ahimélek fils d’Itamar, les répartit par groupes, selon leurs fonctions.
4 Since the sons of Eleazar were found to have more headmen than the sons of Ithamar, they allocatedsixteen heads of families to the sons of Eleazar and eight heads of families to the sons of Ithamar.	4 Comme les fils d’Éléazar comprenaient plus de chefs que les fils d’Itamar, on fit seize groupes avec les chefs de familles d’Éléazar et huit avec les chefs de famille d’Itamar.
5 They al ocated them by lot, both alike, there being religious officials and officials of God among thesons of Eleazar, as among the sons of Ithamar.	5 On répartit au sort les uns et les autres: il y eut en effet des chefs consacrés et des chefs marqués d’un caractère divin, aussi bien dans les fils d’Éléazar que dans les fils d’Itamar.
6 The levitical scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, recorded them in the presence of the king, the leaders,Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar and the heads of the priestly and levitical families, so that twofamilies were selected for Eleazar for each one selected for Ithamar.	6 Un des lévites, le scribe Chémayas, fils de Nathanaël, les inscrivit en présence du roi, de ses officiers, de Sadoq le prêtre, d’Ahimélek, fils d’Ébyatar, et des chefs de familles des prêtres et des lévites (pour une famille tirée au sort chez les fils d’Itamar, on en tirait deux pour les fils d’Éléazar).
7 The first lot fel to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,	7 La première part fut attribuée à Yéhoyarib, la seconde à Yédaya,
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,	8 la troisième à Harim, la quatrième à Séorim,
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,	9 la cinquième à Malkiyas, la sixième à Miyamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,	10 la septième à Hakos, la huitième à Abiya,
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,	11 la neuvième à Yéchoua, la dixième à Chekanyas,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,	12 la onzième à Élyachib, la douzième à Yakim,

18 the twenty- third to Delaiah and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.	18 la vingt-troisième à Délayas, la vingt-quatrième à Maazyas.
19 These were their classifications for their duties when they entered the House of Yahweh inaccordance with their prescriptions laid down by Aaron their ancestor as Yahweh, God of Israel, hadcommanded him.	19 Voilà ceux qui avaient comme fonction d’entrer dans la Maison de Yahvé, selon les règles que Yahvé, Dieu d’Israël avaient données par l’intermédiaire d’Aaron, leur ancêtre: c’est bien ainsi que Yahvé, le Dieu d’Israël, l’avait ordonné.
20 As regards the rest of the sons of Levi: Of the sons of Amram: Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael:Jehdeiah.	20 Pour les autres fils de Lévi: Pour les fils d’Amram: Shoubaël. Pour les fils de Shoubaël: Yédéyas.
21 As regards Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah: Isshiah, the first one.	21 Pour Réabyas, pour les fils de Réabyas, l’aîné Yichiya.
22 Of the sons of Izhar: Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.	22 Pour les Yicharites, Chelomit; pour les fils de Chelomit, Yahat.
23 Of the sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.	23 Fils de Hébron: Yériyas le premier, Amarya le second, Yahaziel le troisième, Yékaméam le quatrième.
24 The son of Uzziel was Micah; of the sons of Micah: Shamir.	24 Fils d’Ouziel: Mika; pour les fils de Mika: Chamir.
25 The brother of Micah was Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.	25 Frère de Mika, Yichiya; pour les fils de Yichiya, Zékaryas.
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; of his sons: Jaaziah his son.	26 Fils de Mérari: Mahli et Mouchi. Fils de Yaaziyas, son fils;
27 The sons of Merari by his son Jaaziah were Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.	27 fils de Mérari, pour Yaaziyas son fils: Choham, Zakour et Ibri;
28 Of Mahli, there was Eleazar who had no sons,	28 pour Mahli, Éléazar qui n’eut pas de fils;
29 and Kish; and of the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.	29 pour Kich: fils de Kich, Yérahméel.
30 The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth. These were the Levites according to families.	30 Fils de Mouchi: Mahli, Éder, Yérimot. Voilà les fils de Lévi d’après leurs clans.
31 Like their kinsmen, the sons of Aaron, these heads of families, senior and junior alike, also drew lotsin the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the priestly and levitical families.	31 Devant le roi, Sadoq, Ahimélek et les chefs de familles des prêtres et des lévites, ils tirèrent eux aussi au sort comme l’avaient fait leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron. La famille du chef était sur le même rang que celle du plus jeune frère.
