1 Orders of the sons of Aaron: Sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, Ithamar.	1 ולבני אהרן מחלקותם בני אהרן נדב ואביהוא אלעזר ואיתמר
2 Nadab and Abihu died in their father's lifetime leaving no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar fil ed theoffice of priest.	2 וימת נדב ואביהוא לפני אביהם ובנים לא היו להם ויכהנו אלעזר ואיתמר
3 With Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, David allocated themaccording to the classification of their duties.	3 ויחלקם דויד וצדוק מן בני אלעזר ואחימלך מן בני איתמר לפקדתם בעבדתם
4 Since the sons of Eleazar were found to have more headmen than the sons of Ithamar, they allocatedsixteen heads of families to the sons of Eleazar and eight heads of families to the sons of Ithamar.	4 וימצאו בני אלעזר רבים לראשי הגברים מן בני איתמר ויחלקום לבני אלעזר ראשים לבית אבות ששה עשר ולבני איתמר לבית אבותם שמונה
5 They al ocated them by lot, both alike, there being religious officials and officials of God among thesons of Eleazar, as among the sons of Ithamar.	5 ויחלקום בגורלות אלה עם אלה כי היו שרי קדש ושרי האלהים מבני אלעזר ובבני איתמר
6 The levitical scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, recorded them in the presence of the king, the leaders,Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar and the heads of the priestly and levitical families, so that twofamilies were selected for Eleazar for each one selected for Ithamar.	6 ויכתבם שמעיה בן נתנאל הסופר מן הלוי לפני המלך והשרים וצדוק הכהן ואחימלך בן אביתר וראשי האבות לכהנים וללוים בית אב אחד אחז לאלעזר ואחז אחז לאיתמר
7 The first lot fel to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,	7 ויצא הגורל הראשון ליהויריב לידעיה השני
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,	8 לחרם השלישי לשערים הרבעי
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,	9 למלכיה החמישי למימן הששי
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,	10 להקוץ השבעי לאביה השמיני
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,	11 לישוע התשעי לשכניהו העשרי
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,	12 לאלישיב עשתי עשר ליקים שנים עשר
13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Ishbaal,	13 לחפה שלשה עשר לישבאב ארבעה עשר
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,	14 לבלגה חמשה עשר לאמר ששה עשר
15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,	15 לחזיר שבעה עשר להפצץ שמונה עשר
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,	16 לפתחיה תשעה עשר ליחזקאל העשרים
17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,	17 ליכין אחד ועשרים לגמול שנים ועשרים
18 the twenty- third to Delaiah and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.	18 לדליהו שלשה ועשרים למעזיהו ארבעה ועשרים
19 These were their classifications for their duties when they entered the House of Yahweh inaccordance with their prescriptions laid down by Aaron their ancestor as Yahweh, God of Israel, hadcommanded him.	19 אלה פקדתם לעבדתם לבוא לבית יהוה כמשפטם ביד אהרן אביהם כאשר צוהו יהוה אלהי ישראל
20 As regards the rest of the sons of Levi: Of the sons of Amram: Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael:Jehdeiah.	20 ולבני לוי הנותרים לבני עמרם שובאל לבני שובאל יחדיהו
21 As regards Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah: Isshiah, the first one.	21 לרחביהו לבני רחביהו הראש ישיה
22 Of the sons of Izhar: Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.	22 ליצהרי שלמות לבני שלמות יחת
23 Of the sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.	23 ובני יריהו אמריהו השני יחזיאל השלישי יקמעם הרביעי
24 The son of Uzziel was Micah; of the sons of Micah: Shamir.	24 בני עזיאל מיכה לבני מיכה שמור
25 The brother of Micah was Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.	25 אחי מיכה ישיה לבני ישיה זכריהו
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; of his sons: Jaaziah his son.	26 בני מררי מחלי ומושי בני יעזיהו בנו
27 The sons of Merari by his son Jaaziah were Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.	27 בני מררי ליעזיהו בנו ושהם וזכור ועברי
28 Of Mahli, there was Eleazar who had no sons,	28 למחלי אלעזר ולא היה לו בנים
29 and Kish; and of the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.	29 לקיש בני קיש ירחמאל
30 The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth. These were the Levites according to families.	30 ובני מושי מחלי ועדר וירימות אלה בני הלוים לבית אבתיהם
31 Like their kinsmen, the sons of Aaron, these heads of families, senior and junior alike, also drew lotsin the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the priestly and levitical families.	31 ויפילו גם הם גורלות לעמת אחיהם בני אהרן לפני דויד המלך וצדוק ואחימלך וראשי האבות לכהנים וללוים אבות הראש לעמת אחיו הקטן
