3 Sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitewoman. 13 Jesse fathered Eliab, his first-born, Abinadab second, Shimea third,	13 Isai autem genuit primogenitum Eliab, secundum Abinadab, tertium Simmaa,
14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth,	14 quartum Nathanaël, quintum Raddai,

19 Azubah died, and Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.	19 Cumque mortua fuisset Azuba, accepit uxorem Caleb Ephratha, quæ peperit ei Hur.
20 Hur fathered Uri, Uri fathered Bezalel.	20 Porro Hur genuit Uri, et Uri genuit Bezeleel.
21 Afterwards, Hezron married the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead; he married her when he wassixty years old and she bore him Segub.	21 Post hæc ingressus est Hesron ad filiam Machir patris Galaad, et accepit eam cum esset annorum sexaginta : quæ peperit ei Segub.
22 Segub fathered Jair who held twenty-three towns in the territory of Gilead.	22 Sed et Segub genuit Jair, et possedit viginti tres civitates in terra Galaad.
23 From them, however, Geshur and Aram took the Encampments of Jair and Kenath with itsdependencies: sixty towns. All these used to belong to the sons of Machir father of Gilead.	23 Cepitque Gessur et Aram oppida Jair, et Canath, et viculos ejus sexaginta civitatum : omnes isti filii Machir patris Galaad.
24 After Hezron's death, Caleb married Ephrathah, wife of Hezron his father, who bore him Ashhur fatherof Tekoa.	24 Cum autem mortuus esset Hesron, ingressus est Caleb ad Ephratha. Habuit quoque Hesron uxorem Abia, quæ peperit ei Assur patrem Thecuæ.
25 Jerahmeel, Hezron's eldest son, fathered Hezron, his first-born, Ram, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, Ahijah.	25 Nati sunt autem filii Jerameel primogeniti Hesron, Ram primogenitus ejus, et Buna, et Aram, et Asom, et Achia.
26 Jerahmeel had another wife called Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.	26 Duxit quoque uxorem alteram Jerameel, nomine Atara, quæ fuit mater Onam.
27 Sons of Ram, Jerahmeel's first-born: Maaz, Jamin and Eker.	27 Sed et filii Ram primogeniti Jerameel fuerunt Moos, Jamin, et Achar.
28 Sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. Sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.	28 Onam autem habuit filios Semei et Jada. Filii autem Semei : Nadab et Abisur.

31 Son of Ephraim: Ishi; son of Ishi: Sheshan; son of Sheshan: Ahlai.	31 Filius vero Apphaim, Jesi : qui Jesi genuit Sesan. Porro Sesan genuit Oholai.
32 Sons of Jada, Shammai's brother: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died leaving no sons.	32 Filii autem Jada fratris Semei : Jether, et Jonathan. Sed et Jether mortuus est absque liberis.
33 Sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.	33 Porro Jonathan genuit Phaleth, et Ziza. Isti fuerunt filii Jerameel.
34 Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. He had an Egyptian slave Jarha	34 Sesan autem non habuit filios, sed filias : et servum ægyptium nomine Jeraa.

41 Shallum fathered Jekamiah, Jekamiah fathered Elishama.	41 Sellum genuit Icamiam, Icamia autem genuit Elisama.
42 Sons of Caleb, Jerahmeel's brother: Mesha, his first-born, who fathered Ziph. His son was Mareshah,father of Hebron.	42 Filii autem Caleb fratris Jerameel : Mesa primogenitus ejus ; ipse est pater Ziph : et filii Maresa patris Hebron.
43 Sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema.	43 Porro filii Hebron, Core, et Taphua, et Recem, et Samma.
44 Shema fathered Raham, father of Jorkeam. Rekem fathered Shammai.	44 Samma autem genuit Raham, patrem Jercaam, et Recem genuit Sammai.

48 Maacah, Caleb's concubine, gave birth to Sheber and Tirhanah.	48 Concubina Caleb Maacha, peperit Saber, et Tharana.
49 She gave birth to Shaaph, who fathered Madmannah, and Sheva, who fathered Machbenah andGibea. The daughter of Caleb was Achsah.	49 Genuit autem Saaph pater Madmena Sue, patrem Machbena et patrem Gabaa. Filia vero Caleb fuit Achsa.
50 These were the sons of Caleb. Sons of Hur, the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal fathered Kiriath-Jearim;	50 Hi erant filii Caleb, filii Hur primogeniti Ephratha, Sobal pater Cariathiarim.
51 Salma fathered Bethlehem; Hareph fathered Beth-Gader.	51 Salma pater Bethlehem, Hariph pater Bethgader.

54 Sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth-Joab, half of the Manahathites, theZorathites,	54 Filii Salma, Bethlehem, et Netophathi, coronæ domus Joab, et dimidium requietionis Sarai :
55 the Sophrite clans living at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. They were theKenites descended from Hammath, father of the House of Rechab.	55 cognationes quoque scribarum habitantium in Jabes, canentes atque resonantes, et in tabernaculis commorantes. Hi sunt Cinæi, qui venerunt de Calore patris domus Rechab.
