NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:	1 Esta es la descendencia de los hijos de Noé, Sem, Cam y Jafet, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:
2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.	2 Hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, los medos, Yaván, Túbal, Mések y Tirás.
3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.	3 Hijos de Gomer: Askanaz, Rifat, Togarmá.
4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.	4 Hijos de Yaván: Elisá, Tarsis, los Kittim y los Dodanim.
5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.	5 A partir de éstos se poblaron las islas de las gentes. Estos fueron los hijos de Jafet por sus territorios y lenguas, por sus linajes y naciones respectivas.
6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.	6 Hijos de Cam: Kus, Misráyim, Put y Canaán.
7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.	7 Hijos de Kus: Seba, Javilá, Sabtá, Ramá y Sabteká. Hijos de Ramá: Seba y Dedán.
8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.	8 Kus engendró a Nemrod, que fue el primero que se hizo prepotente en la tierra.
9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.	9 Fue un bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, por lo cual se suele decir: «Bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, como Nemrod.»
10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 Los comienzos de su reino fueron Babel, Erek y Acad, ciudades todas ellas en tierra de Senaar.
11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,	11 De aquella tierra procedía Asur, que edificó Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Kálaj
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).	12 y Resen, entre Nínive y Kálaj (aquella es la Gran Ciudad).
13 Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, of Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,	13 Misráyim engendró a los luditas, anamitas, lehabitas y naftujitas,
14 Pathros, Casluh and Caphtor, from which the Philistines came.	14 a los de Patrós, de Kasluj y de Kaftor, de donde salieron los filisteos.
15 Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, then Heth,	15 Canaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito, y a Het,
16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, Girgashites,	16 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al guirgasita,
17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,	17 al jivita, al arqueo, al sineo,
18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.	18 al arvadeo, al semareo y al jamateo. Más tarde se propagaron las estirpes cananeas.
19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.	19 La frontera de los cananeos iba desde Sidón, en dirección de Guerar, hasta Gaza; y en dirección de Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá y Seboyim, hasta Lesa.
20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	20 Estos fueron los hijos de Cam, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.
21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.	21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Héber y hermano mayor de Jafet.
22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.	22 Hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Aparksad, Lud y Aram.
23 Aram's sons: Uz, Hul, Gether and Mash.	23 Hijos de Aram: Us, Jul, Guéter y Mas.
24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.	24 Arpaksad engendró a Sélaj y Sélaj engendró a Héber.
25 To Eber were born two sons: the first was cal ed Peleg, because it was in his time that the earth wasdivided, and his brother was called Joktan.	25 A Héber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Péleg, porque en sus días fue divida la tierra. Su hermano se llamaba Yoqtán.
26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 Yoqtán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Jasarmávet, a Yéraj,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 a Hadoram, a Uzal, a Diclá,
28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,	28 a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,
29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.	29 a Ofir, a Javilá y a Yobab. Todos fueron hijos de Yoqtán.
30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.	30 Su asiento se extendió desde Mesá, en dirección a Sefar, al monte del oriente.
31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	31 Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.
32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.	32 Hasta aquí los linajes de los hijos de Noé, según su origen y sus naciones. Y a partir de ellos se dispersaron los pueblos por la tierra después del diluvio.
