1 "Stop judging, that you may not be judged.	1 No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados.
2 For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.	2 Porque seréis juzgados como juzguéis vosotros, y la medida que uséis, la usarán con vosotros.
3 Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?	3 ¿Por qué te fijas en la mota que tiene tu hermano en el ojo y no reparas en la viga que llevas en el tuyo?
4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye?	4 ¿Cómo puedes decirle a tu hermano: “Déjame que te saque la mota del ojo”, teniendo una viga en el tuyo?
5 You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.	5 Hipócrita: sácate primero la viga del ojo; entonces verás claro y podrás sacar la mota del ojo de tu hermano.
6 "Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.	6 No deis lo santo a los perros, ni les echéis vuestras perlas a los cerdos; no sea que las pisoteen con sus patas y después se revuelvan para destrozaros.
7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.	7 Pedid y se os dará, buscad y encontraréis, llamad y se os abrirá;
8 For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.	8 porque todo el que pide recibe, quien busca encuentra y al que llama se le abre.
9 Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread,	9 Si a alguno de vosotros le pide su hijo pan, ¿le dará una piedra?;
10 or a snake when he asks for a fish?	10 y si le pide pescado, ¿le dará una serpiente?
11 If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.	11 Pues si vosotros, aun siendo malos, sabéis dar cosas buenas a vuestros hijos, ¡cuánto más vuestro Padre que está en los cielos dará cosas buenas a los que le piden!
12 "Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.	12 Así, pues, todo lo que deseáis que los demás hagan con vosotros, hacedlo vosotros con ellos; pues esta es la Ley y los Profetas.
13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.	13 Entrad por la puerta estrecha. Porque ancha es la puerta y espacioso el camino que lleva a la perdición, y muchos entran por ellos.
14 How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.	14 ¡Qué estrecha es la puerta y qué angosto el camino que lleva a la vida! Y pocos dan con ellos.
15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.	15 Cuidado con los profetas falsos; se acercan con piel de oveja, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?	16 Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Acaso se cosechan uvas de las zarzas o higos de los cardos?
17 Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.	17 Así, todo árbol sano da frutos buenos; pero el árbol dañado da frutos malos.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.	18 Un árbol sano no puede dar frutos malos, ni un árbol dañado dar frutos buenos.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.	19 El árbol que no da fruto bueno se tala y se echa al fuego.
20 So by their fruits you will know them.	20 Es decir, que por sus frutos los conoceréis.
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.	21 No todo el que me dice “Señor, Señor” entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?'	22 Aquel día muchos dirán: “Señor, Señor, ¿no hemos profetizado en tu nombre y en tu nombre hemos echado demonios, y no hemos hecho en tu nombre muchos milagros?”.
23 Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.'	23 Entonces yo les declararé: “Nunca os he conocido. Alejaos de mí, los que obráis la iniquidad”.
24 "Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.	24 El que escucha estas palabras mías y las pone en práctica se parece a aquel hombre prudente que edificó su casa sobre roca.
25 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.	25 Cayó la lluvia, se desbordaron los ríos, soplaron los vientos y descargaron contra la casa; pero no se hundió, porque estaba cimentada sobre roca.
26 And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand.	26 El que escucha estas palabras mías y no las pone en práctica se parece a aquel hombre necio que edificó su casa sobre arena.
27 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined."	27 Cayó la lluvia, se desbordaron los ríos, soplaron los vientos y rompieron contra la casa, y se derrumbó. Y su ruina fue grande».
28 When Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,	28 Al terminar Jesús este discurso, la gente estaba admirada de su enseñanza,
29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.	29 porque les enseñaba con autoridad y no como sus escribas.
