2 Shepherd of Israel, listen, guide of the flock of Joseph! From your throne upon the cherubim reveal yourself	2 Qui pascis Israel, intende, qui deducis velut ovem Ioseph. Qui sedes super cherubim, effulge
3 to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Stir up your power, come to save us.	3 coram Ephraim, Beniamin et Manasse. Excita potentiam tuam et veni, ut salvos facias nos.
4 O LORD of hosts, restore us; Let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.	4 Deus, converte nos, illustra faciem tuam, et salvi erimus.
5 LORD of hosts, how long will you burn with anger while your people pray?	5 Domine, Deus virtutum, quousque irasceris super orationem populi tui?
6 You have fed them the bread of tears, made them drink tears in abundance.	6 Cibasti nos pane lacrimarum et potum dedisti nobis in lacrimis copiose.
7 You have left us to be fought over by our neighbors; our enemies deride us.	7 Posuisti nos in contradictionem vicinis nostris, et inimici nostri subsannaverunt nos.
8 O LORD of hosts, restore us; let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.	8 Deus virtutum, converte nos, illustra faciem tuam, et salvi erimus.
9 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove away the nations and planted it.	9 Vineam de Aegypto transtulisti, eiecisti gentes et plantasti eam.
10 You cleared the ground; it took root and filled the land.	10 Purgasti locum in conspectu eius, plantasti radices eius, et implevit terram.
11 The mountains were covered by its shadow, the cedars of God by its branches.	11 Operti sunt montes umbra eius, et ramis eius cedri Dei;
12 It sent out boughs as far as the sea, shoots as far as the river.	12 extendit palmites suos usque ad mare et usque ad flumen propagines suas.
13 Why have you broken down the walls, so that all who pass by pluck its fruit?	13 Ut quid destruxisti maceriam eius, et vindemiant eam omnes, qui praetergrediuntur viam?
14 The boar from the forest strips the vine; the beast of the field feeds upon it.	14 Exterminavit eam aper de silva, et singularis ferus depastus est eam.
15 Turn again, LORD of hosts; look down from heaven and see; Attend to this vine,	15 Deus virtutum, convertere, respice de caelo et vide et visita vineam istam.
16 the shoot your right hand has planted.	16 Et protege eam, quam plantavit dextera tua, et super filium hominis, quem confirmasti tibi.
17 Those who would burn or cut it down-- may they perish at your rebuke.	17 Incensa est igni et suffossa; ab increpatione vultus tui peribunt.
18 May your help be with the man at your right hand, with the one whom you once made strong.	18 Fiat manus tua super virum dexterae tuae, super filium hominis, quem confirmasti tibi.
19 Then we will not withdraw from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.	19 Et non discedemus a te, vivificabis nos, et nomen tuum invocabimus.
20 LORD of hosts, restore us; let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.	20 Domine, Deus virtutum, converte nos et illustra faciem tuam, et salvi erimus.
