Psalms 48

1 A psalm of the Korahites. A song.	1 Canto. Salmo de los hijos de Coré.
2 Great is the LORD and highly praised in the city of our God: The holy mountain,	2 El Señor es grande y digno de alabanza, en la Ciudad de nuestro Dios.
3 fairest of heights, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, the heights of Zaphon, the city of the great king.	3 Su Santa Montaña, la altura más hermosa, es la alegría de toda la tierra. La Montaña de Sión, la Morada de Dios, es la Ciudad del gran Rey:
4 God is its citadel, renowned as a stronghold.	4 Dios se manifestó como un baluarte en medio de sus palacios.
5 See! The kings assembled, together they invaded.	5 Porque los reyes se aliaron y avanzaron unidos contra ella;
6 When they looked they were astounded; terrified, they were put to flight!	6 pero apenas la vieron quedaron pasmados y huyeron despavoridos.
7 Trembling seized them there, anguish, like a woman's labor,	7 Allí se apoderó de ellos el terror y dolores como los del parto,
8 As when the east wind wrecks the ships of Tarshish!	8 como cuando el viento del desierto destroza las naves de Tarsis.
9 What we had heard we now see in the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God, founded to last forever. Selah	9 Hemos visto lo que habíamos oído en la Ciudad de nuestro Dios, en la Ciudad del Señor de los ejércitos, que él afianzó para siempre.
10 O God, within your temple we ponder your steadfast love.	10 Nosotros evocamos tu misericordia en medio de tu Templo, oh Dios.
11 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches the ends of the earth. Your right hand is fully victorious.	11 Tu alabanza, lo mismo que tu nombre, llega hasta los confines de la tierra. Tu derecha está llena de justicia:
12 Mount Zion is glad! The cities of Judah rejoice because of your saving deeds!	12 se alegra la Montaña de Sión; las ciudades de Judá se regocijan a causa de tus juicios.
13 Go about Zion, walk all around it, note the number of its towers.	13 Den una vuelta alrededor de Sión y cuenten sus torreones;
14 Consider the ramparts, examine its citadels, that you may tell future generations:	14 observen sus baluartes y miren sus palacios, para que puedan decir a la próxima generación:
15 "Yes, so mighty is God, our God who leads us always!"	15 «Así es Dios, nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos, aquel que nos conduce».
