1 A psalm of the Korahites. A song.	1 'Cantico. Salmo. Dei figli di Core.'
2 Great is the LORD and highly praised in the city of our God: The holy mountain,	2 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lode nella città del nostro Dio.
3 fairest of heights, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, the heights of Zaphon, the city of the great king.	3 Il suo monte santo, altura stupenda, è la gioia di tutta la terra. Il monte Sion, dimora divina, è la città del grande Sovrano.
4 God is its citadel, renowned as a stronghold.	4 Dio nei suoi baluardi è apparso fortezza inespugnabile.
5 See! The kings assembled, together they invaded.	5 Ecco, i re si sono alleati, sono avanzati insieme.
6 When they looked they were astounded; terrified, they were put to flight!	6 Essi hanno visto: attoniti e presi dal panico, sono fuggiti.
7 Trembling seized them there, anguish, like a woman's labor,	7 Là sgomento li ha colti, doglie come di partoriente,
8 As when the east wind wrecks the ships of Tarshish!	8 simile al vento orientale che squarcia le navi di Tarsis.
9 What we had heard we now see in the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God, founded to last forever. Selah	9 Come avevamo udito, così abbiamo visto nella città del Signore degli eserciti, nella città del nostro Dio; Dio l'ha fondata per sempre.
10 O God, within your temple we ponder your steadfast love.	10 Ricordiamo, Dio, la tua misericordia dentro il tuo tempio.
11 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches the ends of the earth. Your right hand is fully victorious.	11 Come il tuo nome, o Dio, così la tua lode si estende sino ai confini della terra; è piena di giustizia la tua destra.
12 Mount Zion is glad! The cities of Judah rejoice because of your saving deeds!	12 Gioisca il monte di Sion, esultino le città di Giuda a motivo dei tuoi giudizi.
13 Go about Zion, walk all around it, note the number of its towers.	13 Circondate Sion, giratele intorno, contate le sue torri.
14 Consider the ramparts, examine its citadels, that you may tell future generations:	14 Osservate i suoi baluardi, passate in rassegna le sue fortezze, per narrare alla generazione futura:
15 "Yes, so mighty is God, our God who leads us always!"	15 Questo è il Signore, nostro Dio in eterno, sempre: egli è colui che ci guida.
