2 Great is the LORD and highly praised in the city of our God: The holy mountain,	2 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lodenella città del nostro Dio.La tua santa montagna,
3 fairest of heights, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, the heights of Zaphon, the city of the great king.	3 altura stupenda,è la gioia di tutta la terra.Il monte Sion, vera dimora divina,è la capitale del grande re.
4 God is its citadel, renowned as a stronghold.	4 Dio nei suoi palazziun baluardo si è dimostrato.
5 See! The kings assembled, together they invaded.	5 Ecco, i re si erano alleati,avanzavano insieme.
6 When they looked they were astounded; terrified, they were put to flight!	6 Essi hanno visto:atterriti, presi dal panico, sono fuggiti.
7 Trembling seized them there, anguish, like a woman's labor,	7 Là uno sgomento li ha colti,doglie come di partoriente,
8 As when the east wind wrecks the ships of Tarshish!	8 simile al vento orientale,che squarcia le navi di Tarsis.
9 What we had heard we now see in the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God, founded to last forever. Selah	9 Come avevamo udito, così abbiamo vistonella città del Signore degli eserciti,nella città del nostro Dio;Dio l’ha fondata per sempre.
10 O God, within your temple we ponder your steadfast love.	10 O Dio, meditiamo il tuo amoredentro il tuo tempio.
11 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches the ends of the earth. Your right hand is fully victorious.	11 Come il tuo nome, o Dio,così la tua lode si estendesino all’estremità della terra;di giustizia è piena la tua destra.
12 Mount Zion is glad! The cities of Judah rejoice because of your saving deeds!	12 Gioisca il monte Sion,esultino i villaggi di Giudaa causa dei tuoi giudizi.
13 Go about Zion, walk all around it, note the number of its towers.	13 Circondate Sion, giratele intorno,contate le sue torri,
14 Consider the ramparts, examine its citadels, that you may tell future generations:	14 osservate le sue mura,passate in rassegna le sue fortezze,per narrare alla generazione futura:
15 "Yes, so mighty is God, our God who leads us always!"	15 questo è Dio,il nostro Dio in eterno e per sempre;egli è colui che ci guida in ogni tempo.
