Primeira Epístola aos Coríntios 16

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Quanto à coleta em benefício dos santos, segui também vós as diretrizes que eu tracei às igrejas da Galácia.	1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.
2 No primeiro dia da semana, cada um de vós ponha de parte o que tiver podido poupar, para que não esperem a minha chegada para fazer as coletas.	2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.
3 Quando chegar, enviarei, com uma carta, os que tiverdes escolhido para levar a Jerusalém a vossa oferta.	3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;
4 Se valer a pena que eu também vá, irão comigo.	4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.
5 Irei ter convosco, depois que tiver passado pela Macedônia; apenas passarei por lá.	5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;
6 Talvez fique convosco ou até passe todo o inverno, para que me leveis aonde eu tenho de ir.	6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.
7 Desta vez, quero vos ver não somente de passagem, mas espero demorar-me algum tempo convosco, se o Senhor o permitir.	7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.
8 Ficarei em Éfeso até Pentecostes:	8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,
9 aí se me abriu uma grande porta à minha atividade e os adversários aí são muitos.	9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.
10 Se Timóteo for visitar-vos, vede que esteja sem preocupação entre vós, porque trabalha exatamente como eu na obra do Senhor.	10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,
11 Portanto, ninguém o despreze. E preparai-lhe a viagem em paz para que venha ter comigo, porque o espero com os irmãos.	11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.
12 Quanto ao nosso irmão Apolo, roguei-lhe muito fosse ter convosco com os irmãos, mas de modo algum quis ele ir agora. Contudo irá ver-vos, quando tiver oportunidade.	12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.
13 Vigiai! Sede firmes na fé! Sede homens! Sede fortes!	13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.
14 Tudo o que fazeis, fazei-o na caridade.	14 Let everything you do be done in love.
15 Ainda uma recomendação, irmãos: sabeis que a família de Estéfanas são as primícias da Acaia e se consagraram ao serviço dos santos.	15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;
16 Tratai essas pessoas com consideração, bem como todos aqueles que ajudam e trabalham na mesma obra.	16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.
17 Eu me alegro com a vinda de Estéfanas, Fortunato e Acaico, porque eles supriram a vossa ausência,	17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.
18 e tranqüilizaram o meu espírito e o vosso. Tende, pois, consideração a tais homens.	18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.
19 As igrejas da Ásia vos saúdam. Áquila e Prisca, com a comunidade que se reúne em sua casa, enviam-vos muitas saudações.	19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.
20 Todos os irmãos vos saúdam. Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo.	20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.

22 Se alguém não amar o Senhor, seja maldito! Maran atá.	22 If there is anyone who does not love the Lord, a curse on such a one. Maran atha.
23 A graça do Senhor Jesus esteja convosco.	23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
24 Eu vos amo a todos vós em Cristo Jesus.	24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.
