1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e gli disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 "Il primo giorno del primo mese erigerai la Dimora, la tenda del convegno.	2 “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall raise the tabernacle of the testimony,
3 Dentro vi collocherai l'arca della Testimonianza, davanti all'arca tenderai il velo.	3 and you shall place the ark in it, and you shall release the veil before it.
4 Vi introdurrai la tavola e disporrai su di essa ciò che vi deve essere disposto; introdurrai anche il candelabro e vi preparerai sopra le sue lampade.	4 And having brought in the table, you shall place the things which were solemnly commanded upon it. The lampstand shall stand with its lamps,
5 Metterai l'altare d'oro per i profumi davanti all'arca della Testimonianza e metterai infine la cortina all'ingresso della tenda.	5 and the altar of gold, in which the incense is burned, shall stand before the ark of the testimony. You shall place the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle,
6 Poi metterai l'altare degli olocausti di fronte all'ingresso della Dimora, della tenda del convegno.	6 and before it, the altar of holocaust.
7 Metterai la conca fra la tenda del convegno e l'altare e vi porrai l'acqua.	7 The washtub shall stand between the altar and the tabernacle, and you shall fill it with water.
8 Disporrai il recinto tutt'attorno e metterai la cortina alla porta del recinto.	8 And you shall encompass the atrium and its entrance with hangings.
9 Poi prenderai l'olio dell'unzione e ungerai con esso la Dimora e quanto vi sarà dentro e la consacrerai con tutti i suoi arredi; così diventerà cosa santa.	9 And, having taken up the oil of unction, you shall anoint the tabernacle along with its articles, so that they may be sanctified.
10 Ungerai anche l'altare degli olocausti e tutti i suoi arredi; consacrerai l'altare e l'altare diventerà cosa santissima.	10 The altar of holocaust and all its vessels,
11 Ungerai anche la conca con il suo piedestallo e la consacrerai.	11 the washtub with its base, and all things, you shall consecrate with the oil of unction, so that they may be the Holy of holies.
12 Poi farai avvicinare Aronne e i suoi figli all'ingresso della tenda del convegno e li laverai con acqua.	12 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony, and, having washed them with water,
13 Farai indossare ad Aronne le vesti sacre, lo ungerai, lo consacrerai e così egli eserciterà il mio sacerdozio.	13 you shall clothe them in the holy vestments, so that they may minister to me, and so that their unction may accomplish an everlasting priesthood.”
14 Farai avvicinare anche i suoi figli e farai loro indossare le tuniche.	14 And Moses did all that the Lord had instructed.
15 Li ungerai, come il loro padre, e così eserciteranno il mio sacerdozio; in tal modo la loro unzione conferirà loro un sacerdozio perenne, per le loro generazioni".	15 Therefore, in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was put in place.
16 Mosè fece in tutto secondo quanto il Signore gli aveva ordinato. Così fece:	16 And Moses raised it up, and he positioned the panels as well as the bases and the bars, and he set up the columns,
17 nel secondo anno, nel primo giorno del primo mese fu eretta la Dimora.	17 and he stretched out the roof over the tabernacle, imposing a cover above it, just as the Lord had decreed.
18 Mosè eresse la Dimora: pose le sue basi, dispose le assi, vi fissò le traverse e rizzò le colonne;	18 And he placed the testimony in the ark, applying the bars beneath, and the oracle above.
19 poi stese la tenda sopra la Dimora e sopra ancora mise la copertura della tenda, come il Signore gli aveva ordinato.	19 And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it, in order to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.
20 Prese la Testimonianza, la pose dentro l'arca; mise le stanghe all'arca e pose il coperchio sull'arca;	20 And he placed the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, beyond the veil,
21 poi introdusse l'arca nella Dimora, collocò il velo che doveva far da cortina e lo tese davanti all'arca della Testimonianza, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	21 arranging before it the bread of the presence, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
22 Nella tenda del convegno collocò la tavola, sul lato settentrionale della Dimora, al di fuori del velo.	22 And he placed the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, away from the table, on the south side,
23 Dispose su di essa il pane in focacce sovrapposte alla presenza del Signore, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	23 setting the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.
24 Collocò inoltre il candelabro nella tenda del convegno, di fronte alla tavola sul lato meridionale della Dimora,	24 He also positioned the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, opposite the veil,
25 e vi preparò sopra le lampade davanti al Signore, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	25 and he heaped upon it the incense of aromatics, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
26 Collocò poi l'altare d'oro nella tenda del convegno, davanti al velo,	26 And he positioned the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony,
27 e bruciò su di esso il profumo aromatico, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	27 and the altar of holocaust in the vestibule of the testimony, offering the holocaust and the sacrifices upon it, just as the Lord had decreed.
28 Mise infine la cortina all'ingresso della Dimora.	28 Likewise, he stationed the washtub between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.
29 Poi collocò l'altare degli olocausti all'ingresso della Dimora, della tenda del convegno, e offrì su di esso l'olocausto e l'offerta, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	29 And Moses and Aaron, along with his sons, washed their hands and feet,
30 Collocò la conca fra la tenda del convegno e l'altare e vi mise dentro l'acqua per le abluzioni.	30 whenever they would enter the covering of the covenant, and when they approached to the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
31 Mosè, Aronne e i suoi figli si lavavano con essa le mani e i piedi:	31 And he raised up the atrium around the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging at its entrance. After all these things were perfected,
32 quando entravano nella tenda del convegno e quando si accostavano all'altare, essi si lavavano, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	32 the cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.
33 Infine eresse il recinto intorno alla Dimora e all'altare e mise la cortina alla porta del recinto. Così Mosè terminò l'opera.	33 Neither could Moses enter the covering of the covenant: the cloud was covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord was flashing. For the cloud had covered everything.
34 Allora la nube coprì la tenda del convegno e la Gloria del Signore riempì la Dimora.	34 Whenever the cloud departed from the tabernacle, the sons of Israel set out by their companies.
35 Mosè non poté entrare nella tenda del convegno, perché la nube dimorava su di essa e la Gloria del Signore riempiva la Dimora.	35 But if it remained hanging over it, they remained in the same place.
36 Ad ogni tappa, quando la nube s'innalzava e lasciava la Dimora, gli Israeliti levavano l'accampamento.	36 Certainly, the cloud of the Lord lay over the tabernacle by day, and the fire by night, being seen by all the people of Israel throughout all their resting places.
37 Se la nube non si innalzava, essi non partivano, finché non si fosse innalzata.
38 Perché la nube del Signore durante il giorno rimaneva sulla Dimora e durante la notte vi era in essa un fuoco, visibile a tutta la casa d'Israele, per tutto il tempo del loro viaggio.
