NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 The heads of families of the Levites then came to the priest, Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun and theheads of families of the tribes of Israel-	1 ثم تقدم رؤساء آباء اللاويين الى العازار الكاهن والى يشوع بن نون والى رؤساء آباء اسباط بني اسرائيل
2 they were then at Shiloh in Canaan. They said to them, 'Through Moses, Yahweh ordered us to begiven towns to live in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.'	2 وكلموهم في شيلوه في ارض كنعان قائلين. قد أمر الرب على يد موسى ان نعطى مدنا للسكن مع مسارحها لبهائمنا.
3 In compliance with Yahweh's order, the Israelites consequently and from their own heritage gave theLevites the fol owing towns with their pasture lands:	3 فاعطى بنو اسرائيل اللاويين من نصيبهم حسب قول الرب هذه المدن مع مسارحها
4 Lots were cast for the clans of the Kohathites: to those Levites who were sons of Aaron the priest, felthirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin;	4 فخرجت القرعة لعشائر القهاتيين. فكان لبني هرون الكاهن من اللاويين بالقرعة ثلاث عشرة مدينة من سبط يهوذا ومن سبط شمعون ومن سبط بنيامين.
5 to the other sons of Kohath, by clans,	5 ولبني قهات الباقين عشر مدن بالقرعة من عشائر سبط افرايم ومن سبط دان ومن نصف سبط منسّى.
6 fel ten towns from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. To the sons of Gershon,by clans, fel thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and the half-tribe of Manasseh inBashan.	6 ولبني جرشون ثلاث عشرة مدينة بالقرعة من عشائر سبط يساكر ومن سبط اشير ومن سبط نفتالي ومن نصف سبط منسّى في باشان.
7 To the sons of Merari, by clans, fel twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.	7 ولبني مراري حسب عشائرهم اثنتا عشرة مدينة من سبط رأوبين ومن سبط جاد ومن سبط زبولون.
8 The Israelites assigned these towns and their pasture lands to the Levites by lot, as Yahweh hadordered through Moses.	8 فاعطى بنو اسرائيل اللاويين هذه المدن ومسارحها بالقرعة كما أمر الرب على يد موسى.
9 From the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Simeon, they gave the towns named below.	9 واعطوا من سبط بني يهوذا ومن سبط بني شمعون هذه المدن المسماة باسمائها
10 The first portion was for the sons of Aaron, belonging to the clans of the Kohathites, to the sons ofLevi, since the first lot was theirs.	10 فكانت لبني هرون من عشائر القهاتيين من بني لاوي لان القرعة الاولى كانت لهم.
11 They gave them Kiriath-Arba, Anak's father's town -- now Hebron -- in the highlands of Judah, with itssurrounding pasture lands.	11 واعطوهم قرية اربع ابي عناق. هي حبرون. في جبل يهوذا مع مسرحها حواليها.
12 The fields and vil ages of this town, however, they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his property.	12 واما حقل المدينة وضياعها فاعطوها لكالب بن يفنة ملكا له
13 To the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, as wel as Libnah with its pasture lands,	13 واعطوا لبني هرون الكاهن مدينة ملجإ القاتل حبرون مع مسارحها ولبنة ومسارحها
14 Jattir with its pasture lands, Eshtemoa with its pasture lands,	14 ويتّير ومسرحها واشتموع ومسرحها
15 Holon with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,	15 وحولون ومسرحها ودبير ومسرحها
16 Ashan with its pasture lands, Juttah with its pasture lands, and Beth-Shemesh with its pasture lands:nine towns taken from these two tribes;	16 وعين ومسرحها ويطّة ومسرحها وبيت شمس ومسرحها. تسع مدن من هذين السبطين.
17 and, from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,	17 ومن سبط بنيامين جبعون ومسرحها وجبع ومسرحها
18 Anathoth with its pasture lands and Almon with its pasture lands: four towns.	18 عناثوث ومسرحها وعلمون ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
19 Total number of towns for the priests, the sons of Aaron: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	19 جميع مدن بني هرون الكهنة ثلاث عشرة مدينة مع مسارحها
20 As regards the clans of the sons of Kohath, those Levites stil left of the sons of Kohath, the towns oftheir lot were taken from the tribe of Ephraim.	20 واما عشائر بني قهات اللاويين الباقين من بني قهات فكانت مدن قرعتهم من سبط افرايم.
21 They were given Shechem, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, in thehighlands of Ephraim, as wel as Gezer with its pasture lands,	21 واعطوهم شكيم ومسرحها في جبل افرايم مدينة ملجإ القاتل وجازر ومسرحها
22 Kibzaim with its pasture lands, and Beth-Horon with its pasture lands: four towns;	22 وقبصايم ومسرحها وبيت حورون ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
23 from the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its pasture lands, Gibbethon with its pasture lands,	23 ومن سبط دان إلتقى ومسرحها وجبّثون ومسرحها
24 Aijalon with its pasture lands and Gath-Rimmon with its pasture lands: four towns;	24 وايّلون ومسرحها وجتّ رمّون ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
25 and, from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its pasture lands and Jibleam with its pasturelands: two towns.	25 ومن نصف سبط منسّى تعنك ومسرحها وجتّ رمون ومسرحها. مدينتين اثنتين.
26 In al : ten towns with their pasture lands for the remaining clans of the sons of Kohath.	26 كل المدن عشر مع مسارحها لعشائر بني قهات الباقين
27 To the sons of Gershon, of the levitical clans, were given: from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan inBashan, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands --two towns;	27 ولبني جرشون من عشائر اللاويين مدينة ملجإ القاتل من نصف سبط منسّى جولان في باشان ومسرحها وبعشترة ومسرحها مدينتان اثنتان.
28 from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its pasture lands, Dobrath with its pasture lands,	28 ومن سبط يساكر قشيون ومسرحها ودبرة ومسرحها
29 Jarmuth with its pasture lands and En-Gannim with its pasture lands -- four towns;	29 ويرموت ومسرحها وعين جنّيم ومسرحها. اربع مدن
30 from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,	30 ومن سبط اشير مشآل ومسرحها وعبدون ومسرحها
31 Helkath with its pasture lands and Rehob with its pasture lands -- four towns;	31 وحلقة ومسرحها ورحوب ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
32 and, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, Hammoth-Dor with its pasture lands and Kartan with its pasture lands -- three towns.	32 ومن سبط نفتالي مدينة ملجإ القاتل قادش في الجليل ومسرحها وحموت دور ومسرحها وقرتان ومسرحها. ثلاث مدن.
33 Total number of towns of the Gershonites, by clans: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	33 جميع مدن الجرشونيين حسب عشائرهم ثلاث عشرة مدينة مع مسارحها
34 To the clans of the sons of Merari, the remainder of the Levites, fel : from the tribe of Zebulun,Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands,	34 ولعشائر بني مراري اللاويين الباقين من سبط زبولون يقنعام ومسرحها وقرتة ومسرحها
35 Rimmon with its pasture lands and Nahalal with its pasture lands -- four towns;	35 ودمنة ومسرحها ونحلال ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
36 on the other side of the Jordan opposite Jericho, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the desert, on thetableland, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasture lands, Jahaz with its pasture lands,	36 ومن سبط رأوبين باصر ومسرحها ويهصة ومسرحها
37 Kedemoth with its pasture lands and Mephaath with its pasture lands -- four towns;	37 وقديموت ومسرحها وميفعة ومسرحها. اربع مدن.
38 and, from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasturelands, Mahanaim with its pasture lands,	38 ومن سبط جاد مدينة ملجإ القاتل راموت في جلعاد ومسرحها ومحنايم ومسرحها
39 Heshbon with its pasture lands and Jazer with its pasture lands -- four towns.	39 حشبون ومسرحها ويعزير ومسرحها. كل المدن اربع.
40 Total number of towns forming the lot of the sons of Merari by clans, of the remaining levitical clans:twelve towns.	40 فجميع المدن التي لبني مراري حسب عشائرهم الباقين من عشائر اللاويين. وكانت قرعتهم. اثنتا عشرة مدينة.
41 The total number of towns for the Levites in Israelite territory was forty-eight towns with their pasture lands.	41 جميع مدن اللاويين في وسط ملك بني اسرائيل ثمان واربعون مدينة مع مسارحها.
42 These towns consisted in each case of the town itself and the pasture land round it. This was thecase with all the towns.	42 كانت هذه المدن مدينة مدينة مع مسارحها حواليها. هكذا لكل هذه المدن
43 This was how Yahweh gave the Israelites the entire country which he had sworn to give to theirancestors. They took possession of it and settled in it.	43 فاعطى الرب اسرائيل جميع الارض التي اقسم ان يعطيها لآبائهم فامتلكوها وسكنوا بها.
44 Yahweh granted them tranquil ity on all their frontiers just as he had sworn to their ancestors and, ofal their enemies, not one succeeded in resisting them. Yahweh put al their enemies at their mercy.	44 فاراحهم الرب حواليهم حسب كل ما اقسم لآبائهم ولم يقف قدامهم رجل من جميع اعدائهم بل دفع الرب جميع اعدائهم بايديهم.
45 Of al the promises that Yahweh had made to the House of Israel, not one failed; al were fulfilled.	45 لم تسقط كلمة من جميع الكلام الصالح الذي كلم به الرب بيت اسرائيل بل الكل صار
