NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 The heads of families of the Levites then came to the priest, Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun and theheads of families of the tribes of Israel-	1 Die Familienoberhäupter der Leviten kamen in Schilo im Land Kanaan zu dem Priester Eleasar, zu Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und zu den Stammeshäuptern der Israeliten
2 they were then at Shiloh in Canaan. They said to them, 'Through Moses, Yahweh ordered us to begiven towns to live in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.'	2 und sagten zu ihnen: Der Herr hat durch Mose befohlen, uns Städte zum Wohnen und ihre Weideflächen für unser Vieh zu geben.
3 In compliance with Yahweh's order, the Israelites consequently and from their own heritage gave theLevites the fol owing towns with their pasture lands:	3 Da gaben die Israeliten den Leviten nach der Anordnung des Herrn aus ihrem Erbbesitz die folgenden Städte mit ihren Weideflächen.
4 Lots were cast for the clans of the Kohathites: to those Levites who were sons of Aaron the priest, felthirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin;	4 Als das Los auf die Sippen der Kehatiter fiel, erhielten unter den Leviten die Nachkommen des Priesters Aaron durch das Los dreizehn Städte vom Stamm Juda, vom Stamm der Simeoniter und vom Stamm Benjamin.
5 to the other sons of Kohath, by clans,	5 Die übrigen Kehatiter erhielten, entsprechend ihren Sippen, durch das Los zehn Städte vom Stamm Efraim, vom Stamm Dan und vom halben Stamm Manasse.
6 fel ten towns from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. To the sons of Gershon,by clans, fel thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and the half-tribe of Manasseh inBashan.	6 Die Nachkommen Gerschons erhielten, entsprechend ihren Sippen, durch das Los dreizehn Städte vom Stamm Issachar, vom Stamm Ascher, vom Stamm Naftali und vom halben Stamm Manasse im Baschan.
7 To the sons of Merari, by clans, fel twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.	7 Die Nachkommen Meraris erhielten, entsprechend ihren Sippen, zwölf Städte vom Stamm Ruben, vom Stamm Gad und vom Stamm Sebulon.
8 The Israelites assigned these towns and their pasture lands to the Levites by lot, as Yahweh hadordered through Moses.	8 Diese Städte mit ihren Weideflächen gaben die Israeliten durch das Los den Leviten, wie es der Herr durch Mose befohlen hatte.
9 From the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Simeon, they gave the towns named below.	9 Vom Stamm der Judäer und vom Stamm der Simeoniter gaben sie ihnen die folgenden, namentlich genannten Städte.
10 The first portion was for the sons of Aaron, belonging to the clans of the Kohathites, to the sons ofLevi, since the first lot was theirs.	10 Sie wurden den Nachkommen Aarons unter den Kehatitern, unter den Leviten, zuteil; denn auf sie fiel das erste Los.
11 They gave them Kiriath-Arba, Anak's father's town -- now Hebron -- in the highlands of Judah, with itssurrounding pasture lands.	11 Ihnen gab man die Stadt des Arba, des Vaters Anaks, also Hebron, im Gebirge Juda, mit seinen Weideflächen ringsum.
12 The fields and vil ages of this town, however, they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his property.	12 Das Ackerland der Stadt aber und die dazugehörenden Gehöfte hatte man Kaleb, dem Sohn Jefunnes, als Besitz gegeben.
13 To the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, as wel as Libnah with its pasture lands,	13 Den Nachkommen des Priesters Aaron gab man also die Asylstadt für solche, die einen Menschen erschlagen haben, Hebron mit seinen Weideflächen, ferner Libna mit seinen Weideflächen,
14 Jattir with its pasture lands, Eshtemoa with its pasture lands,	14 Jattir mit seinen Weideflächen, Eschtemoa mit seinen Weideflächen,
15 Holon with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,	15 Holon mit seinen Weideflächen, Debir mit seinen Weideflächen,
16 Ashan with its pasture lands, Juttah with its pasture lands, and Beth-Shemesh with its pasture lands:nine towns taken from these two tribes;	16 Ajin mit seinen Weideflächen, Jutta mit seinen Weideflächen und Bet-Schemesch mit seinen Weideflächen: neun Städte von den zwei Stämmen (den Judäern und den Simeonitern).
17 and, from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,	17 Vom Stamm Benjamin (gab man ihnen) Gibeon mit seinen Weideflächen, Geba mit seinen Weideflächen,
18 Anathoth with its pasture lands and Almon with its pasture lands: four towns.	18 Anatot mit seinen Weideflächen und Alemet mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte.
19 Total number of towns for the priests, the sons of Aaron: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	19 Im Ganzen erhielten die Nachkommen Aarons, die Priester waren, dreizehn Städte mit ihren Weideflächen.
20 As regards the clans of the sons of Kohath, those Levites stil left of the sons of Kohath, the towns oftheir lot were taken from the tribe of Ephraim.	20 Die Sippen der levitischen Kehatiter, die von den Nachkommen Kehats außerdem noch vorhanden waren, erhielten die Städte ihres Anteils vom Stamm Efraim.
21 They were given Shechem, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, in thehighlands of Ephraim, as wel as Gezer with its pasture lands,	21 Man gab ihnen die Asylstädte für solche, die einen Menschen erschlagen haben, Sichem mit seinen Weideflächen im Gebirge Efraim, ferner Geser mit seinen Weideflächen,
22 Kibzaim with its pasture lands, and Beth-Horon with its pasture lands: four towns;	22 Kibzajim mit seinen Weideflächen und Bet-Horon mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
23 from the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its pasture lands, Gibbethon with its pasture lands,	23 vom Stamm Dan erhielten sie Elteke mit seinen Weideflächen, Gibbeton mit seinen Weideflächen,
24 Aijalon with its pasture lands and Gath-Rimmon with its pasture lands: four towns;	24 Ajalon mit seinen Weideflächen und Gat-Rimmon mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
25 and, from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its pasture lands and Jibleam with its pasturelands: two towns.	25 vom halben Stamm Manasse erhielten sie Taanach mit seinen Weideflächen und Gat-Rimmon mit seinen Weideflächen: zwei Städte.
26 In al : ten towns with their pasture lands for the remaining clans of the sons of Kohath.	26 Im Ganzen erhielten die Sippen der übrigen Nachkommen Kehats zehn Städte.
27 To the sons of Gershon, of the levitical clans, were given: from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan inBashan, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands --two towns;	27 Den Gerschonitern aus den levitischen Sippen gab man vom halben Stamm Manasse die Asylstadt für solche, die einen Menschen erschlagen haben, Golan im Baschan mit seinen Weideflächen sowie Aschtarot mit seinen Weideflächen: zwei Städte;
28 from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its pasture lands, Dobrath with its pasture lands,	28 vom Stamm Issachar erhielten sie Kischjon mit seinen Weideflächen, Daberat mit seinen Weideflächen,
29 Jarmuth with its pasture lands and En-Gannim with its pasture lands -- four towns;	29 Jarmut mit seinen Weideflächen und En-Gannim mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
30 from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,	30 vom Stamm Ascher erhielten sie Mischal mit seinen Weideflächen, Abdon mit seinen Weideflächen,
31 Helkath with its pasture lands and Rehob with its pasture lands -- four towns;	31 Helkat mit seinen Weideflächen und Rehob mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
32 and, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, Hammoth-Dor with its pasture lands and Kartan with its pasture lands -- three towns.	32 vom Stamm Naftali erhielten sie die Asylstadt für solche, die einen Menschen erschlagen haben, Kedesch in Galiläa mit seinen Weideflächen sowie Hammot-Dor mit seinen Weideflächen und Kartan mit seinen Weideflächen: drei Städte.
33 Total number of towns of the Gershonites, by clans: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	33 Im Ganzen erhielten die Gerschoniter, entsprechend ihren Sippen, dreizehn Städte mit ihren Weideflächen.
34 To the clans of the sons of Merari, the remainder of the Levites, fel : from the tribe of Zebulun,Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands,	34 Den übrigen Leviten, also den Sippen der Nachkommen Meraris, gab man vom Stamm Sebulon Jokneam mit seinen Weideflächen, Karta mit seinen Weideflächen,
35 Rimmon with its pasture lands and Nahalal with its pasture lands -- four towns;	35 Dimna mit seinen Weideflächen und Nahalal mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
36 on the other side of the Jordan opposite Jericho, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the desert, on thetableland, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasture lands, Jahaz with its pasture lands,	36 dazu vom Stamm Ruben Bezer mit seinen Weideflächen, Jahaz mit seinen Weideflächen,
37 Kedemoth with its pasture lands and Mephaath with its pasture lands -- four towns;	37 Kedemot mit seinen Weideflächen und Mefaat mit seinen Weideflächen: vier Städte;
38 and, from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasturelands, Mahanaim with its pasture lands,	38 vom Stamm Gad erhielten sie die Asylstadt für solche, die einen Menschen erschlagen haben, Ramot-Gilead mit seinen Weideflächen, ferner Mahanajim mit seinen Weideflächen,
39 Heshbon with its pasture lands and Jazer with its pasture lands -- four towns.	39 Heschbon mit seinen Weideflächen und Jaser mit seinen Weideflächen: zusammen vier Städte.
40 Total number of towns forming the lot of the sons of Merari by clans, of the remaining levitical clans:twelve towns.	40 Im Ganzen erhielten die Merariter entsprechend ihren Sippen, die unter den Sippen der Leviten noch übrig waren, als ihren Anteil zwölf Städte.
41 The total number of towns for the Levites in Israelite territory was forty-eight towns with their pasture lands.	41 Die Gesamtanzahl der Levitenstädte mitten im Besitz der Israeliten betrug achtundvierzig, mit ihren Weideflächen.
42 These towns consisted in each case of the town itself and the pasture land round it. This was thecase with all the towns.	42 Diese Städte bestanden jeweils aus der Stadt und den Weideflächen in ihrer Umgebung; so war es bei allen diesen Städten.
43 This was how Yahweh gave the Israelites the entire country which he had sworn to give to theirancestors. They took possession of it and settled in it.	43 So gab der Herr Israel das ganze Land, das er ihren Vätern mit einem Eid zugesichert hatte. Sie nahmen es in Besitz und wohnten darin.
44 Yahweh granted them tranquil ity on all their frontiers just as he had sworn to their ancestors and, ofal their enemies, not one succeeded in resisting them. Yahweh put al their enemies at their mercy.	44 Und der Herr verschaffte ihnen Ruhe ringsum, genau so, wie er es ihren Vätern mit einem Eid zugesichert hatte. Keiner von all ihren Feinden konnte ihnen Widerstand leisten; alle ihre Feinde gab der Herr in ihre Gewalt.
45 Of al the promises that Yahweh had made to the House of Israel, not one failed; al were fulfilled.	45 Keine von all den Zusagen, die der Herr dem Haus Israel gegeben hatte, war ausgeblieben; jede war in Erfüllung gegangen.
