NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 The heads of families of the Levites then came to the priest, Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun and theheads of families of the tribes of Israel-	1 Se acercaron los cabezas de familia de los levitas al sacerdote Eleazar, a Josué, hijo de Nun, y a los cabezas de familia de las tribus de Israel,
2 they were then at Shiloh in Canaan. They said to them, 'Through Moses, Yahweh ordered us to begiven towns to live in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.'	2 cuando estaban en Silo, en tierra de Canaán, y les dijeron: «Yahveh ordenó por medio de Moisés que se nos dieran ciudades donde residir, con sus pastos para nuestro ganado».
3 In compliance with Yahweh's order, the Israelites consequently and from their own heritage gave theLevites the fol owing towns with their pasture lands:	3 Los israelitas, conforme a la orden de Yahveh, dieron a los levitas, de su heredad, las siguientes ciudades con sus pastos.
4 Lots were cast for the clans of the Kohathites: to those Levites who were sons of Aaron the priest, felthirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin;	4 Se hizo el sorteo para los clanes quehatitas: y a los levitas hijos del sacerdote Aarón les tocaron trece ciudades de las tribus de Judá, Simeón, y Benjamín;
5 to the other sons of Kohath, by clans,	5 a los otros hijos de Quehat, por clanes, diez ciudades de las tribus de Efraím, de Dan y de la media tribu de Manasés.
6 fel ten towns from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. To the sons of Gershon,by clans, fel thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and the half-tribe of Manasseh inBashan.	6 A los hijos de Guerson, por clanes, les tocaron trece ciudades de las tribus de Isacar, Aser, Neftalí y de la media tribu de Manasés, en Basán.
7 To the sons of Merari, by clans, fel twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.	7 A los hijos de Merarí, por clanes, les tocaron doce ciudades de las tribus de Rubén, Gad y Zabulón.
8 The Israelites assigned these towns and their pasture lands to the Levites by lot, as Yahweh hadordered through Moses.	8 Los israelitas dieron a los levitas por suertes esas ciudades y sus pastos, como Yahveh había ordenado por boca de Moisés.
9 From the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Simeon, they gave the towns named below.	9 De la tribu de Judá y de la tribu de Simeón les dieron las ciudades que se nombran a continuación;
10 The first portion was for the sons of Aaron, belonging to the clans of the Kohathites, to the sons ofLevi, since the first lot was theirs.	10 esta fue la parte de los hijos de Aarón, pertenecientes al clan quehatita, de los hijos de Levi; porque la primera suerte fue para ellos.
11 They gave them Kiriath-Arba, Anak's father's town -- now Hebron -- in the highlands of Judah, with itssurrounding pasture lands.	11 Les dieron Quiryat Arbá (ciudad del padre de Anaq), o sea Hebrón, en la montaña de Judá, con los pastos circundantes.
12 The fields and vil ages of this town, however, they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his property.	12 Pero la campiña de esta ciudad con sus aldeas se la dieron en propiedad a Caleb, hijo de Yefunné.
13 To the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, as wel as Libnah with its pasture lands,	13 A los hijos del sacerdote Aarón les dieron, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Hebrón con sus pastos, y además Libná y sus pastos,
14 Jattir with its pasture lands, Eshtemoa with its pasture lands,	14 Yattir con sus pastos, Estemoa con sus pastos
15 Holon with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,	15 Jolón con sus pastos, Debir con sus pastos,
16 Ashan with its pasture lands, Juttah with its pasture lands, and Beth-Shemesh with its pasture lands:nine towns taken from these two tribes;	16 Asan con sus pastos, Yutta con sus pastos, Bet Semes con sus pastos: nueve ciudades de esas dos tribus.
17 and, from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,	17 De la tribu de Benjamín, Gabaón y sus pastos, Gueba y sus pastos,
18 Anathoth with its pasture lands and Almon with its pasture lands: four towns.	18 Anatot y sus pastos, Almón y sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
19 Total number of towns for the priests, the sons of Aaron: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	19 Total de las ciudades de los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón: trece ciudades con sus pastos.
20 As regards the clans of the sons of Kohath, those Levites stil left of the sons of Kohath, the towns oftheir lot were taken from the tribe of Ephraim.	20 A los clanes de los hijos de Quehat, a los levitas restantes entre los hijos de Quehat, les tocaron en suerte ciudades de la tribu de Efraím.
21 They were given Shechem, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, in thehighlands of Ephraim, as wel as Gezer with its pasture lands,	21 Se les dio, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Siquem con sus pastos, en la montaña de Efraím, y además Guézer con sus pastos.
22 Kibzaim with its pasture lands, and Beth-Horon with its pasture lands: four towns;	22 Quibsáyim con sus pastos, Bet Jorón con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
23 from the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its pasture lands, Gibbethon with its pasture lands,	23 De la tribu de Dan, Eltequé con sus pastos, Guibbetón con sus pastos,
24 Aijalon with its pasture lands and Gath-Rimmon with its pasture lands: four towns;	24 Ayyalón con sus pastos, Gat Rimmón con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
25 and, from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its pasture lands and Jibleam with its pasturelands: two towns.	25 De la media tribu de Manasés, Tanak con sus pastos y Yibleam con sus pastos: dos ciudades.
26 In al : ten towns with their pasture lands for the remaining clans of the sons of Kohath.	26 Total: diez ciudades con sus pastos para lo restantes clanes de los hijos de Quehat.
27 To the sons of Gershon, of the levitical clans, were given: from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan inBashan, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with its pasture lands, and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands --two towns;	27 A los hijos de Guersón, de los clanes levíticos, les dieron: de la media tribu de Manasés, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Golán en Basán con sus pastos, y Astarot con sus pastos: dos ciudades.
28 from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its pasture lands, Dobrath with its pasture lands,	28 De la tribu de Isacar, Quisyón con sus pastos, Daberat con sus pastos
29 Jarmuth with its pasture lands and En-Gannim with its pasture lands -- four towns;	29 Yarmut con sus pastos, En Gannim con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
30 from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,	30 De la tribu de Aser, Misal con sus pastos, Abdón con sus pastos,
31 Helkath with its pasture lands and Rehob with its pasture lands -- four towns;	31 Jelcat con sus pastos, Rejob con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
32 and, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, a city of refuge for those who had kil ed, with itspasture lands, Hammoth-Dor with its pasture lands and Kartan with its pasture lands -- three towns.	32 De la tribu de Neftalí, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Quedes en Galilea con sus pastos, Jammot Dor con sus pastos, Raqcat con sus pastos: tres ciudades.
33 Total number of towns of the Gershonites, by clans: thirteen towns with their pasture lands.	33 Total de ciudades de los guersonitas, por clanes: trece ciudades con sus pastos.
34 To the clans of the sons of Merari, the remainder of the Levites, fel : from the tribe of Zebulun,Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands,	34 A los clanes de los hijos de Merarí, al resto de los levitas: de la tribu de Zabulón: Yoqneam con sus pastos, Cartá con sus pastos,
35 Rimmon with its pasture lands and Nahalal with its pasture lands -- four towns;	35 Rimmón con sus pastos, Nahalal con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades;
36 on the other side of the Jordan opposite Jericho, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the desert, on thetableland, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasture lands, Jahaz with its pasture lands,	36 al otro lado del Jordán, de la tribu de Rubén, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Béser en el desierto, en el llano, con sus pastos, y además Yahás con sus pastos,
37 Kedemoth with its pasture lands and Mephaath with its pasture lands -- four towns;	37 Quedemot con sus pastos, Mefaat con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
38 and, from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for those who had killed, with its pasturelands, Mahanaim with its pasture lands,	38 De la tribu de Gad, como ciudad de asilo para los homicidas, Ramot en Galaad, y Majanáyim
39 Heshbon with its pasture lands and Jazer with its pasture lands -- four towns.	39 Jesbón con sus pastos, Yazer con sus pastos: cuatro ciudades.
40 Total number of towns forming the lot of the sons of Merari by clans, of the remaining levitical clans:twelve towns.	40 Total de ciudades asignadas por suerte a los hijos de Merarí, por clanes, es decir, al resto de los clanes levíticos: doce ciudades.
41 The total number of towns for the Levites in Israelite territory was forty-eight towns with their pasture lands.	41 Total de las ciudades de los levitas en medio de la propiedad de los israelitas: 48 ciudades con sus pastos.
42 These towns consisted in each case of the town itself and the pasture land round it. This was thecase with all the towns.	42 Cada una de las ciudades comprendía la ciudad y los pastos circundantes. Así todas las ciudades mencionadas.
43 This was how Yahweh gave the Israelites the entire country which he had sworn to give to theirancestors. They took possession of it and settled in it.	43 Yahveh dio a los israelitas toda la tierra que había jurado dar a sus padres. La ocuparon y se establecieron en ella.
44 Yahweh granted them tranquil ity on all their frontiers just as he had sworn to their ancestors and, ofal their enemies, not one succeeded in resisting them. Yahweh put al their enemies at their mercy.	44 Yahveh les concedió paz en todos sus confines, tal como había jurado a sus padres, y ninguno de sus enemigos pudo hacerles frente. Yahveh entregó a todos sus enemigos en sus manos.
45 Of al the promises that Yahweh had made to the House of Israel, not one failed; al were fulfilled.	45 No falló una sola de todas las espléndidas promesas que Yahveh había hecho a la casa de Israel. Todo se cumplió.
