Ephesians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Children, be obedient to your parents in the Lord -- that is what uprightness demands.	1 Ihr Kinder, gehorcht euren Eltern, wie es vor dem Herrn recht ist.
2 The first commandment that has a promise attached to it is: Honour your father and your mother,	2 Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter: Das ist ein Hauptgebot und ihm folgt die Verheißung:
3 and the promise is: so that you may have long life and prosper in the land.	3 damit es dir gut geht und du lange lebst auf der Erde.
4 And parents, never drive your children to resentment but bring them up with correction and adviceinspired by the Lord.	4 Ihr Väter, reizt eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern erzieht sie in der Zucht und Weisung des Herrn!
5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are, according to human reckoning, your masters, with deep respectand sincere loyalty, as you are obedient to Christ:	5 Ihr Sklaven, gehorcht euren irdischen Herren mit Furcht und Zittern und mit aufrichtigem Herzen, als wäre es Christus.
6 not only when you are under their eye, as if you had only to please human beings, but as slaves ofChrist who wholeheartedly do the wil of God.	6 Arbeitet nicht nur, um euch bei den Menschen einzuschmeicheln und ihnen zu gefallen, sondern erfüllt als Sklaven Christi von Herzen den Willen Gottes!
7 Work wil ingly for the sake of the Lord and not for the sake of human beings.	7 Dient freudig, als dientet ihr dem Herrn und nicht den Menschen.
8 Never forget that everyone, whether a slave or a free man, wil be rewarded by the Lord for whateverwork he has done wel .	8 Denn ihr wisst, dass jeder, der etwas Gutes tut, es vom Herrn zurückerhalten wird, ob er ein Sklave ist oder ein freier Mann.
9 And those of you who are employers, treat your slaves in the same spirit; do without threats, and neverforget that they and you have the same Master in heaven and there is no favouritism with him.	9 Ihr Herren, handelt in gleicher Weise gegen eure Sklaven! Droht ihnen nicht! Denn ihr wisst, dass ihr im Himmel einen gemeinsamen Herrn habt. Bei ihm gibt es kein Ansehen der Person.
10 Finally, grow strong in the Lord, with the strength of his power.	10 Und schließlich: Werdet stark durch die Kraft und Macht des Herrn!
11 Put on the ful armour of God so as to be able to resist the devil's tactics.	11 Zieht die Rüstung Gottes an, damit ihr den listigen Anschlägen des Teufels widerstehen könnt.
12 For it is not against human enemies that we have to struggle, but against the principalities and theruling forces who are masters of the darkness in this world, the spirits of evil in the heavens.	12 Denn wir haben nicht gegen Menschen aus Fleisch und Blut zu kämpfen, sondern gegen die Fürsten und Gewalten, gegen die Beherrscher dieser finsteren Welt, gegen die bösen Geister des himmlischen Bereichs.
13 That is why you must take up al God's armour, or you wil not be able to put up any resistance on theevil day, or stand your ground even though you exert yourselves to the ful .	13 Darum legt die Rüstung Gottes an, damit ihr am Tag des Unheils standhalten, alles vollbringen und den Kampf bestehen könnt.
14 So stand your ground, with truth a belt round your waist, and uprightness a breastplate,	14 Seid also standhaft: Gürtet euch mit Wahrheit, zieht als Panzer die Gerechtigkeit an
15 wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace	15 und als Schuhe die Bereitschaft, für das Evangelium vom Frieden zu kämpfen.
16 and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to quench the burning arrows of the EvilOne.	16 Vor allem greift zum Schild des Glaubens! Mit ihm könnt ihr alle feurigen Geschosse des Bösen auslöschen.
17 And then you must take salvation as your helmet and the sword of the Spirit, that is, the word of God.	17 Nehmt den Helm des Heils und das Schwert des Geistes, das ist das Wort Gottes.
18 In al your prayer and entreaty keep praying in the Spirit on every possible occasion. Never get tired ofstaying awake to pray for al God's holy people,	18 Hört nicht auf, zu beten und zu flehen! Betet jederzeit im Geist; seid wachsam, harrt aus und bittet für alle Heiligen,
19 and pray for me to be given an opportunity to open my mouth and fearlessly make known the mysteryof the gospel	19 auch für mich: dass Gott mir das rechte Wort schenkt, wenn es darauf ankommt, mit Freimut das Geheimnis des Evangeliums zu verkünden,
20 of which I am an ambassador in chains; pray that in proclaiming it I may speak as fearlessly as I oughtto.	20 als dessen Gesandter ich im Gefängnis bin. Bittet, dass ich in seiner Kraft freimütig zu reden vermag, wie es meine Pflicht ist.
21 So that you know, as well, what is happening to me and what I am doing, my dear friend Tychicus, mytrustworthy helper in the Lord, wil tel you everything.	21 Damit auch ihr erfahrt, wie es mir geht und was ich tue, wird euch Tychikus, der geliebte Bruder und treue Helfer im Dienst des Herrn, alles berichten.
22 I am sending him to you precisely for this purpose, to give you news about us and encourage youthoroughly.	22 Ich schicke ihn eigens zu euch, damit ihr alles über uns erfahrt und damit er euch Mut zuspricht.
23 May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ grant peace, love and faith to al the brothers.	23 Friede sei mit den Brüdern, Liebe und Glaube von Gott, dem Vater, und Jesus Christus, dem Herrn.
24 May grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ, in life imperishable.	24 Gnade und unvergängliches Leben sei mit allen, die Jesus Christus, unseren Herrn, lieben!
