¹ Christ set us free, so that we should remain free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be fastenedagain to the yoke of slavery.	¹ Za slobodu nas Krist oslobodi! Držite se dakle i ne dajte se ponovno u jaram ropstva!
² I, Paul, give you my word that if you accept circumcision, Christ wil be of no benefit to you at al .	² Evo ja, Pavao, velim vam: ako se obrežete, Krist vam ništa neće koristiti.
³ I give my assurance once again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is under obligation tokeep the whole Law;	³ I ponovno jamčim svakom čovjeku koji se obreže: dužan je opsluživati sav Zakon.
⁴ once you seek to be reckoned as upright through the Law, then you have separated yourself fromChrist, you have fal en away from grace.	⁴ Prekinuli ste s Kristom vi koji se u Zakonu mislite opravdati; iz milosti ste ispali.
⁵ We are led by the Spirit to wait in the confident hope of saving justice through faith,	⁵ Jer mi po Duhu iz vjere očekujemo pravednost, nadu svoju.
⁶ since in Christ Jesus it is not being circumcised or being uncircumcised that can effect anything -- onlyfaith working through love.	⁶ Uistinu, u Kristu Isusu ništa ne vrijedi ni obrezanje ni neobrezanje, nego – vjera ljubavlju djelotvorna.
⁷ You began your race wel ; who came to obstruct you and stop you obeying the truth?	⁷ Dobro ste trčali; tko li vas je samo spriječio da se više ne pokoravate istini?
⁸ It was certainly not any prompting from him who called you!	⁸ Ta pobuda nije od Onoga koji vas zove!
⁹ A pinch of yeast ferments the whole batch.	⁹ Malo kvasca cijelo tijesto ukvasa.
¹⁰ But I feel sure that, united in the Lord, you wil not be led astray, and that anyone who makes troublewith you will be condemned, no matter who he is.	¹⁰ Ja se uzdam u vas u Gospodinu: vi nećete drukčije misliti. A tko vas zbunjuje, snosit će osudu, tko god bio.
¹¹ And I, brothers -- if I were stil preaching circumcision, why should I still be persecuted? For then theobstacle which is the cross would have no point any more.	¹¹ A ja, braćo, ako sveudilj propovijedam obrezanje, zašto me sveudilj progone? Onda je obeskrijepljena sablazan križa!
¹² I could wish that those who are unsettling you would go further and mutilate themselves.	¹² Uškopili se oni koji vas podbunjuju!
¹³ After al , brothers, you were called to be free; do not use your freedom as an opening for self-indulgence, but be servants to one another in love,	¹³ SDoista vi ste, braćo, na slobodu pozvani! Samo neka ta sloboda ne bude izlikom tijelu, nego – ljubavlju služite jedni drugima.
¹⁴ since the whole of the Law is summarised in the one commandment: You must love your neighbour asyourself.	¹⁴ Ta sav je Zakon ispunjen u jednoj jedinoj riječi, u ovoj: Ljubi bližnjega svoga kao sebe samoga!
¹⁵ If you go snapping at one another and tearing one another to pieces, take care: you will be eaten up byone another.	¹⁵ Ako li pak jedni druge grizete i glođete, pazite da jedni druge ne proždrete.
¹⁶ Instead, I tel you, be guided by the Spirit, and you wil no longer yield to self-indulgence.	¹⁶ Hoću reći: po Duhu živite pa nećete ugađati požudi tijela!
¹⁷ The desires of self-indulgence are always in opposition to the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are inopposition to self-indulgence: they are opposites, one against the other; that is how you are prevented fromdoing the things that you want to.	¹⁷ Jer tijelo žudi protiv Duha, a Duh protiv tijela. Doista, to se jedno drugomu protivi da ne činite što hoćete.
¹⁸ But when you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.	¹⁸ Ali ako vas Duh vodi, niste pod Zakonom.
¹⁹ When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: sexual vice, impurity, and sensuality,	¹⁹ A očita su djela tijela. To su: bludnost, nečistoća, razvratnost,
²⁰ the worship of false gods and sorcery; antagonisms and rivalry, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels,disagreements,	²⁰ idolopoklonstvo, vračanje, neprijateljstva, svađa, ljubomor, srdžbe, spletkarenja, razdori, strančarenja,
²¹ factions and malice, drunkenness, orgies and al such things. And about these, I tel you now as I havetold you in the past, that people who behave in these ways wil not inherit the kingdom of God.	²¹ zavisti, pijančevanja, pijanke i tome slično. Unaprijed vam kažem, kao što vam već rekoh: koji takvo što čine, kraljevstva Božjega neće baštiniti.
²² On the other hand the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness,	²² Plod je pak Duha: ljubav, radost, mir, velikodušnost, uslužnost, dobrota, vjernost,
²³ gentleness and self-control; no law can touch such things as these.	²³ blagost, uzdržljivost. Protiv tih nema zakona.
²⁴ All who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified self with al its passions and its desires.	²⁴ Koji su Kristovi, razapeše tijelo sa strastima i požudama.
²⁵ Since we are living by the Spirit, let our behaviour be guided by the Spirit	²⁵ Ako živimo po Duhu, po Duhu se i ravnajmo!
²⁶ and let us not be conceited or provocative and envious of one another.	²⁶ Ne hlepimo za taštom slavom! Ne izazivajmo jedni druge, ne zaviđajmo jedni drugima!
