NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'Then the kingdom of Heaven wil be like this: Ten wedding attendants took their lamps and went tomeet the bridegroom.	1 Akkor hasonló lesz a mennyek országa a tíz szűzhöz, akik fogták lámpásaikat és kimentek a vőlegény elé.
2 Five of them were foolish and five were sensible:	2 Öt közülük ostoba volt, öt pedig okos.
3 the foolish ones, though they took their lamps, took no oil with them,	3 Az ostobák ugyanis, amikor fölvették lámpásaikat, nem vettek magukhoz olajat.
4 whereas the sensible ones took flasks of oil as wel as their lamps.	4 Az okosak viszont lámpásaikkal együtt olajat is vittek edényeikben.
5 The bridegroom was late, and they al grew drowsy and fell asleep.	5 Mivel a vőlegény késett, mindnyájan elálmosodtak és elaludtak.
6 But at midnight there was a cry, "Look! The bridegroom! Go out and meet him."	6 Éjfélkor aztán kiáltás támadt: ‘Itt a vőlegény, gyertek ki elébe!’
7 Then al those wedding attendants woke up and trimmed their lamps,	7 Ekkor a szüzek mindnyájan fölkeltek és rendbe hozták lámpásaikat.
8 and the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, "Give us some of your oil: our lamps are going out."	8 Az ostobák ekkor így szóltak az okosakhoz: ‘Adjatok nekünk az olajotokból, mert lámpásaink kialszanak.’
9 But they replied, "There may not be enough for us and for you; you had better go to those who sel itand buy some for yourselves."	9 Az okosak ezt válaszolták: ‘Nehogy ne legyen elég se nekünk, se nektek, menjetek inkább az árusokhoz és vegyetek magatoknak.’
10 They had gone off to buy it when the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him tothe wedding hall and the door was closed.	10 Amíg azok elmentek vásárolni, megjött a vőlegény, és akik készen voltak, bementek vele a menyegzőre. Az ajtót bezárták.
11 The other attendants arrived later. "Lord, Lord," they said, "open the door for us."	11 Később megjött a többi szűz is. Azt mondták: ‘Uram, uram! Nyiss ki nekünk!’
12 But he replied, "In truth I tel you, I do not know you."	12 De ő így válaszolt: ‘Bizony, mondom nektek: nem ismerlek titeket.’
13 So stay awake, because you do not know either the day or the hour.	13 Legyetek tehát éberek, mert nem ismeritek sem a napot, sem az órát.
14 'It is like a man about to go abroad who summoned his servants and entrusted his property to them.	14 Úgy lesz akkor, mint amikor egy ember arra készült, hogy külföldre menjen. Hívta a szolgáit és átadta nekik vagyonát.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to a third one, each in proportion to his ability. Then heset out on his journey.	15 Az egyiknek öt talentumot adott, a másiknak kettőt, a harmadiknak pedig egyet, mindegyiknek a képessége szerint; és elment külföldre. Ekkor rögtön
16 The man who had received the five talents promptly went and traded with them and made five more.	16 elment az, aki öt talentumot kapott, befektette azokat, és szerzett másik ötöt.
17 The man who had received two made two more in the same way.	17 Éppígy az is, aki kettőt kapott, szerzett másik kettőt.
18 But the man who had received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master'smoney.	18 Az viszont, aki egyet kapott, elment, a földbe ásva elrejtette ura pénzét.
19 Now a long time afterwards, the master of those servants came back and went through his accountswith them.	19 Sok idő múltán megjött ezeknek a szolgáknak az ura és számadást tartott velük.
20 The man who had received the five talents came forward bringing five more. "Sir," he said, "youentrusted me with five talents; here are five more that I have made."	20 Előállt ekkor az, aki öt talentumot kapott, hozott másik öt talentumot, és így szólt: ‘Uram, öt talentumot adtál nekem, nézd, másik öt talentumot nyertem rajta.’
21 His master said to him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you aretrustworthy in small things; I wil trust you with greater; come and join in your master's happiness."	21 Az ura azt mondta neki: ‘Jól van, derék és hű szolga! A kicsiben hű voltál, sokat bízok rád: menj be urad örömébe.’
22 Next the man with the two talents came forward. "Sir," he said, "you entrusted me with two talents; here are two more that I have made."	22 Ezután jött az is, aki a két talentumot kapta és így szólt: ‘Uram, két talentumot adtál nekem, nézd, másik két talentumot nyertem rajta.’
23 His master said to him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you aretrustworthy in small things; I wil trust you with greater; come and join in your master's happiness."	23 Az ura azt mondta neki: ‘Jól van, derék és hű szolga, a kicsiben hű voltál, sokat bízok rád: menj be urad örömébe.’
24 Last came forward the man who had the single talent. "Sir," said he, "I had heard you were a hardman, reaping where you had not sown and gathering where you had not scattered;	24 Végül odajött az is, aki egy talentumot kapott, és azt mondta: ‘Uram, tudom rólad, hogy kemény ember vagy, aratsz, ahol nem vetettél, és begyűjtesz onnan is, ahová nem ültettél.
25 so I was afraid, and I went off and hid your talent in the ground. Here it is; it was yours, you have itback."	25 Mivel féltem tőled, elmentem és elrejtettem a talentumodat a földbe. Íme, itt van, ami a tied!’
26 But his master answered him, "You wicked and lazy servant! So you knew that I reap where I havenot sown and gather where I have not scattered?	26 Az ura azt válaszolta neki: ‘Te gonosz és lusta szolga! Tudtad, hogy aratok, ahol nem vetettem és gyűjtök onnan, ahová nem ültettem.
27 Well then, you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have gotmy money back with interest.	27 Éppen ezért el kellett volna helyezned a pénzemet a pénzváltóknál, hogy amikor megjövök, kamatostul kapjam vissza a magamét.
28 So now, take the talent from him and give it to the man who has the ten talents.	28 Vegyétek hát el tőle a talentumot és adjátok annak, akinek tíz talentuma van!
29 For to everyone who has wil be given more, and he wil have more than enough; but anyone whohas not, wil be deprived even of what he has.	29 Mert mindannak, akinek van, még adnak és bővelkedni fog. Attól pedig, akinek nincs, még azt is elveszik, amije van.
30 As for this good-for-nothing servant, throw him into the darkness outside, where there will be weepingand grinding of teeth."	30 A haszontalan szolgát pedig dobjátok ki a külső sötétségre! Lesz majd ott sírás és fogcsikorgatás!’
31 'When the Son of man comes in his glory, escorted by al the angels, then he will take his seat on histhrone of glory.	31 Amikor az Emberfia eljön dicsőségében, és vele együtt az angyalok mindnyájan , akkor leül majd dicsőséges trónjára.
32 Al nations wil be assembled before him and he wil separate people one from another as theshepherd separates sheep from goats.	32 Összegyűjtenek eléje minden nemzetet, ő pedig elválasztja őket egymástól, ahogyan a pásztor elválasztja a juhokat a kecskéktől.
33 He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left.	33 A juhokat a jobbjára állítja, a kecskéket pedig a baljára.
34 Then the King wil say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take asyour heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world.	34 Akkor a király így szól a jobbja felől állóknak: ‘Jöjjetek, Atyám áldottai, vegyétek birtokba az országot, amely nektek készült a világ teremtése óta.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger andyou made me welcome,	35 Mert éheztem és ennem adtatok, szomjaztam és innom adtatok, idegen voltam és befogadtatok engem,
36 lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me."	36 mezítelen voltam és felöltöztettetek, beteg voltam és meglátogattatok, fogságban voltam és eljöttetek hozzám.’
37 Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirstyand give you drink?	37 Akkor az igazak megkérdezik majd tőle: ‘Uram, mikor láttunk téged éhezni, és tápláltunk téged, vagy szomjazni és inni adtunk neked?
38 When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you?	38 Mikor láttunk mint idegent, és befogadtunk, vagy mezítelenül, és felöltöztettünk téged?
39 When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?"	39 Mikor láttunk betegen vagy fogságban, és meglátogattunk téged?’
40 And the King wil answer, "In truth I tel you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of thesebrothers of mine, you did it to me."	40 A király így válaszol majd nekik: ‘Bizony, mondom nektek: amikor megtettétek ezt egynek e legkisebb testvéreim közül, nekem tettétek.’
41 Then he will say to those on his left hand, "Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to theeternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.	41 Ezután a balján levőknek ezt fogja mondani: ‘Távozzatok tőlem, átkozottak, az örök tűzre, amely az ördögnek és az ő angyalainak készült.
42 For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink,	42 Mert éheztem és nem adtatok enni, szomjaztam és nem adtatok inni,
43 I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sickand in prison and you never visited me."	43 idegen voltam és nem fogadtatok be, mezítelen voltam és nem öltöztettetek föl, beteg voltam és fogságban, és nem látogattatok meg engem.’
44 Then it wil be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lackingclothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?"	44 Erre azok is megkérdezik: ‘Uram, mikor láttunk téged éhezni vagy szomjazni, mint idegent vagy mezítelenül, betegen vagy a fogságban, és nem szolgáltunk neked?’
45 Then he will answer, "In truth I tel you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least ofthese, you neglected to do it to me."	45 Akkor ő így felel majd nekik: ‘Bizony, mondom nektek: amikor nem tettétek meg ezt egynek e legkisebbek közül, nekem nem tettétek meg.’
46 And they wil go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.'	46 És elmennek majd, ezek az örök gyötrelemre, az igazak pedig az örök életre.«
