Leviticus 11

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said to them,	1 O Senhor falou a Moisés e a Aarão, dizendo:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Of al animals living on land these are the creatures you may eat:	2 Dizei aos filhos de Israel: Estes são os animais que deveis comer entre todos os animais da terra.
3 "You may eat any animal that has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, and that is a ruminant.	3 Dentre os quadrúpedes comereis todo o que tem a unha fendida, e rumina.
4 The fol owing, which either chew the cud or have a cloven hoof, are the ones that you may not eat: youwil regard the camel as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	4 Porém, todo o que rumina e tem unha mas não fendida, como o camelo e os outros, não o comereis, e contá-lo-eis entre os (animais) impuros.
5 you wil regard the coney as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	5 O coelho, que rumina, mas não tem a unha fendida, é impuro.
6 you wil regard the hare as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	6 Igualmente a lebre, que rumina mas não tem a unha fendida,
7 you wil regard the pig as unclean, because though it has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, it is nota ruminant.	7 e o porco, o qual tem a unha fendida, mas não rumina.
8 You will not eat the meat of these or touch their dead bodies; you wil regard them as unclean.	8 Não comereis das carnes destes animais, nem tocareis os seus cadáveres, porque são impuros para vós.
9 "Of al that lives in water, these you may eat: "Anything that has fins and scales, and lives in the water, whether in sea or river, you may eat.	9 Eis os animais aquáticos dos quais é lícito comer: Todos os que tem barbatanas e escamas, tanto no mar, como nos rios e nos lagos, comê-los-eis.
10 But anything in sea or river that does not have fins and scales, of al the smal water-creatures and althe living things found there, you wil regard as detestable.	10 Mas tudo o que se move e vive nas águas sem ter barbatanas nem escamas, será abominável para vós
11 You wil regard them as detestable; you must not eat their meat and you wil regard their carcases asdetestable.	11 e execrando: não comereis as suas carnes, e evitareis (tocar) seus corpos mortos.
12 Anything that lives in water, but not having fins and scales, you wil regard as detestable.	12 Todos os animais aquáticos que não têm barbatanas nem escamas serão (para vós) impuros.
13 "Of the birds these are the ones that you wil regard as detestable; they may not be eaten, they aredetestable for eating: "The tawny vulture, the griffon, the osprey,	13 Entre as aves são estas que não deveis comer, e devem ser evitadas: a águia, o grifo e a águia marinha,
14 the kite, the various kinds of buzzard,	14 o milhano, o abutre com os da sua espécie,
15 all kinds of raven,	15 o corvo e todas as espécies semelhantes ao corvo,
16 the ostrich, the screech owl, the seagul , the various kinds of hawk,	16 o avestruz, a coruja, a gaivota, o açor e tudo o que é da sua espécie,
17 horned owl, night owl, cormorant, barn owl,	17 o mocho, o corvo marinho, o íbis,
18 ibis, pelican, white vulture,	18 o cisne, o pelicano, o porfirião,
19 stork, the various kinds of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.	19 a cegonha e o corvo marinho com os da sua espécie, a poupa e o morcego.
20 "Al winged insects moving on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating.	20 Todo o volátil que anda sobre quatro patas será abominável para vós.
21 Of al these winged insects you may eat only the fol owing: those with the sort of legs above their feetwhich enable them to leap over the ground.	21 Todo o animal volátil porém, que assim anda sobre quatro patas, mas tem mais compridas as posteriores, com que salta sobre a terra,
22 These are the ones you may eat: the various kinds of migratory locust, the various kinds of solhamlocust, hargol locust and hagab locust.	22 podeis comê-lo, e tal é o brugo na sua espécie, o ataco, o ofíómaco e o gafanhoto, cada um na sua espécie.
23 But al other winged insects on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating.	23 Mas os insectos alados que têm sòmente quatro patas, serão execráveis para vós;
24 "By the fol owing you wil be made unclean. Anyone who touches the carcase of one wil be uncleanuntil evening.	24 todo o que tocar os seus corpos mortos, ficará contaminado e será impuro até à tarde;
25 Anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening.	25 se for necessário que ele leve algum destes animais mortos, lavará as suas vestes e ficará imundo até ao pôr do sol.
26 Animals that have hoofs, but not cloven, and that are not ruminant, you wil regard as unclean;anyone who touches them will be unclean.	26 Todo o animal que tem unha, mas sem ser fendida, e que não rumina, será impuro; aquele que o tocar, ficará contaminado.
27 Those four-footed animals which walk on the flat of their paws you wil regard as unclean; anyonewho touches their carcases wil be unclean until evening,	27 De todos os animais quadrúpedes, aqueles que andam sobre a planta dos pés serão impuros; aquele que tocar os seus corpos mortos, ficará impuro até à tarde,
28 and anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening.You will regard them as unclean.	28 e o que levar estes cadáveres, lavará as suas vestes e ficará impuro até à tarde. Todos estes (animais) são impuros para vós.
29 "Of the smal creatures which crawl along the ground, these are the ones which you wil regard asunclean: the mole, the rat, the various kinds of lizard:	29 Também entre os animais, que se movem sobre a terra, se deverão reputar como impuros os seguintes: a doninha, o rato e o crocodilo, cada um segundo a sua espécie,
30 gecko, koah, letaah, chameleon and tinshamet.	30 o musaranho, o camaleão, a salamandra, o lagarto e a toupeira.
31 "Of al the smal creatures, these are the animals which you must regard as disgusting. Anyone whotouches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening.	31 Toldos estes animais são impuros. Aquele que tocar os seus corpos mortos, ficará impuro até à tarde.
32 "Any object on which one of these creatures fal s when it is dead becomes unclean: wooden utensil,clothing, skin, sacking, any utensil whatever. It must be immersed in water and wil remain unclean until evening:then it wil be clean.	32 Tudo aquilo sobre que cair alguma coisa dos seus cadáveres, ficará contaminado, quer seja um vaso de pau, ou uma veste ou uma pele, ou um pano da Cilícia: qualquer instrumento que serve para fazer alguma obra, se lavará em água, e será impuro até à tarde, e deste modo será depois purificado.
33 If the creature fal s into an earthenware vessel, the vessel must be broken; whatever the vesselcontains is unclean.	33 Mas o vaso de barro, dentro do qual cair alguma coisa destas, ficará contaminado, e por isso se deve quebrar.
34 Any edible food wil be unclean if the water touches it; any drinkable liquid will be unclean, no matterwhat its container.	34 Todo o alimento que comerdes, se se derramar água (destes vasos contaminados) sobre ele, será impuro: todo o líquido que se bebe de qualquer vaso (contaminado), será impuro.
35 Anything on which the carcase of such a creature may fal wil be unclean: be it oven or stove, it mustbe destroyed; for they are unclean and you wil regard them as unclean	35 Se alguma coisa destes animais mortos cair sobre um objecto, este ficará impuro; ou sejam fornos ou marmitas, deverão destruir-se; serão impuros.
36 (although springs, wel s and stretches of water wil remain clean); anyone who touches one of theircarcases wil be unclean.	36 As fontes, porém, as cisternas e todos os depósitos de água serão puros. Aquele que tocar o corpo morto destes animais, ficará impuro.
37 If one of their carcases fal s on any kind of seed, the seed will remain clean;	37 Se cair (alguma coisa desse corpo) sobre semente, não a tornará impura.
38 but if the seed has been moistened and one of their carcases fal s on it, you wil regard it as unclean.	38 Mas, se alguém derramar água sobre a semente, e esta depois for tocada por algum destes corpos mortos, imediatamente ficará contaminada.
39 "If one of the animals that you use as food dies, anyone who touches the carcase wil be unclean untilevening;	39 Se morrer algum daqueles animais, que vos é licito comer, aquele que tocar o seu cadáver, ficará impuros até à tarde
40 anyone who eats any of the carcase must wash his clothing and will remain unclean until evening;anyone who picks up the carcase must wash his clothing and wil remain unclean until evening.	40 o que conter alguma coisa dele, ou tiver levado alguma porção, lavará as suas vestes e ficará impuro até à tarde.
41 "Any creature that swarms on the ground is detestable for eating; it must not be eaten.	41 Tudo o que anda de rastos sobre a terra, será abominável, e não será usado como alimento.
42 Anything that moves on its bel y, anything that moves on four legs or more -- in short all the creaturesthat swarm on the ground -- you will not eat, since they are detestable.	42 Não comereis nenhum daqueles animais rastejantes, quer se arrastem sobre o ventre quer se movam com quatro ou com muitas patas. Considerá-lo-eis coisa abominável.
43 Do not make yourselves detestable with al these swarming creatures; do not defile yourselves withthem, do not be defiled by them.	43 Não vos torneis abomináveis por todos estes animais rastejantes, nem toqueis alguma destas coisas, para não ficardes impuros.
44 For it is I, Yahweh, who am your God. You have been sanctified and have become holy because I amholy: do not defile yourselves with all these creatures that swarm on the ground.	44 Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus; sêde santos, porque eu sou santo; não vos mancheis com o toque de algum réptil que se arrasta sobre a terra.
45 Yes, it is I, Yahweh, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God: you must therefore be holybecause I am holy." '	45 Porque eu sou o Senhor, que vos tirei da terra do Egipto para ser o vosso Deus. Vós sereis santos, porque eu sou santo.
46 Such is the law concerning animals, birds, al living creatures that move in water and al creaturesthat swarm on the ground.	46 Esta é a lei sobre os quadrúpedes, as aves, e sobre todo o animal vivente, que se move na água, ou que anda de rastos pela terra,
47 Its purpose is to distinguish the clean from the unclean, the creatures that may be eaten from thosethat may not be eaten.	47 a fim de que vós conheçais a diferença entre o puro e o impuro, e saibais o que deveis comer e o que deveis rejeitar.
