1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said to them,	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, ed Aronne, e disse:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Of al animals living on land these are the creatures you may eat:	2 Dite a' figliuoli d'Israele: Tra tutti gli animali della terra questi son quelli che voi mangerete:
3 "You may eat any animal that has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, and that is a ruminant.	3 De' quadrupedi mangerete tutti quelli che hanno lo zoccolo fesso, e ruminano:
4 The fol owing, which either chew the cud or have a cloven hoof, are the ones that you may not eat: youwil regard the camel as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	4 Di tutti quelli che ruminano, e han lo zoccolo, ma non fesso, come il cammello, e gli altri, voi non ne mangerete, e li conterete tra gl’immondi.
5 you wil regard the coney as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	5 Il porcospino, il quale rumina, ma non ha lo zoccolo fesso, è immondo:
6 you wil regard the hare as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof;	6 Parimente la lepre, perché ella pure rumina; ma non ha fesso lo zoccolo:
7 you wil regard the pig as unclean, because though it has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, it is nota ruminant.	7 E il porco, il quale ha fesso lo zoccolo, ma non rumina.
8 You will not eat the meat of these or touch their dead bodies; you wil regard them as unclean.	8 Delle carni di questi animali non vi ciberete, e non toccherete i loro corpi morti; perocché sono immondi per voi.
9 "Of al that lives in water, these you may eat: "Anything that has fins and scales, and lives in the water, whether in sea or river, you may eat.	9 Ecco gli animali acquatici, de' quali è lecito mangiare: tutti quelli che hanno le ali, e le squame tanto nel mare come ne' fiumi, e negli stagni, voi li mangerete:
10 But anything in sea or river that does not have fins and scales, of al the smal water-creatures and althe living things found there, you wil regard as detestable.	10 Ma tutto quel che si muove, e ha vita nell'acque, e non ha ali, né squame, lo avrete in abominazione, ed esecrazione.
11 You wil regard them as detestable; you must not eat their meat and you wil regard their carcases asdetestable.	11 Non vi ciberete di essi, e schiverete di toccarli morti.
12 Anything that lives in water, but not having fins and scales, you wil regard as detestable.	12 Saranno impuri tutti gli acquatici, che non hanno ale, o squame.
13 "Of the birds these are the ones that you wil regard as detestable; they may not be eaten, they aredetestable for eating: "The tawny vulture, the griffon, the osprey,	13 Degli uccelli non dovete mangiare, ma lasciar da parte i seguenti: l’aquila, il grifone, e l'aquila di mare,
14 the kite, the various kinds of buzzard,	14 E il falcone, e l’avoltoio colle sue specie,
15 all kinds of raven,	15 E il corvo, e tutte le specie simili al corvo,
16 the ostrich, the screech owl, the seagul , the various kinds of hawk,	16 Lo struzzolo, e la civetta, il laro e l'avoltoio con tutte le sue specie,
17 horned owl, night owl, cormorant, barn owl,	17 Il gufo, il mergo, e l’ibi,
18 ibis, pelican, white vulture,	18 E il cigno, e l’onocrotalo, e il porfirione,
19 stork, the various kinds of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.	19 La cicogna, e il caradrio colle sue specie, l'upupa, e il pipistrello.
20 "Al winged insects moving on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating.	20 Tutti gli animali che volano e camminano a quattro gambe, gli avrete in abbominazione:
21 Of al these winged insects you may eat only the fol owing: those with the sort of legs above their feetwhich enable them to leap over the ground.	21 Ma tutti quelli che camminano a quattro piedi, ma hanno gli stinchi di dietro più lunghi, co’ quali saltano sopra la terra,
22 These are the ones you may eat: the various kinds of migratory locust, the various kinds of solhamlocust, hargol locust and hagab locust.	22 Li potete mangiare: e tale è il bruco colle sue specie, l'attaco, e l’ophiomaco, e la cavalletta, ognuno colle sue specie.
23 But al other winged insects on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating.	23 Ma tutti i volatili, che hanno quattro piedi, gli avrete in esecrazione:
24 "By the fol owing you wil be made unclean. Anyone who touches the carcase of one wil be uncleanuntil evening.	24 E chiunque li toccherà morti, contrarrà impurità, e sarà immondo fino alla sera:
25 Anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening.	25 E se sarà necessario, ch’ei porti alcuno di tali animali morto, laverà le sue vesti, e sarà immondo fino al tramontar del sole.
26 Animals that have hoofs, but not cloven, and that are not ruminant, you wil regard as unclean;anyone who touches them will be unclean.	26 Qualunque animale, che ha lo zoccolo, ma non lo ha fesso, e non rumina, sarà immondo, e chi lo toccherà contrarrà immondezza.
27 Those four-footed animals which walk on the flat of their paws you wil regard as unclean; anyonewho touches their carcases wil be unclean until evening,	27 Tra gli animali quadrupedi quelli che hanno mani, sulle quali camminano, saranno immondi: chi toccherà i corpi loro morti, sarà impuro fino alla sera.
28 and anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening.You will regard them as unclean.	28 E chi porterà simili cadaveri, laverà le sue vesti, e sarà immondo fino alla sera; perché tutti questi (animali) sono immondi per voi.
29 "Of the smal creatures which crawl along the ground, these are the ones which you wil regard asunclean: the mole, the rat, the various kinds of lizard:	29 Degli animali, che si muovono sopra la terra, questi ancora si conteranno tra gl’immondi: lo scoiattolo, e il topo, e il coccodrillo, ciascuno secondo la sua specie,
30 gecko, koah, letaah, chameleon and tinshamet.	30 Il migale, il camaleonte, lo stellione, la lucertola, la talpa:
31 "Of al the smal creatures, these are the animals which you must regard as disgusting. Anyone whotouches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening.	31 Tutti questi sono immondi: chi li toccherà morti, sarà immondo fino alla sera:
32 "Any object on which one of these creatures fal s when it is dead becomes unclean: wooden utensil,clothing, skin, sacking, any utensil whatever. It must be immersed in water and wil remain unclean until evening:then it wil be clean.	32 E se da’ loro corpi morti alcuna cosa venga a cadere sopra qualsivoglia altra, questa sarà immonda, sia ella o un vaso di legno, o una veste, o una pelle, o un panno di Cilicia, e ogni arnese, che serve a far qualche cosa, tuttociò si laverà nell’acqua, e sarà immondo fino alla sera, e così sarà di poi purificato.
33 If the creature fal s into an earthenware vessel, the vessel must be broken; whatever the vesselcontains is unclean.	33 Ma il vaso di terra, dentro del quale sia caduta alcuna di tali cose, contrae immondezza, e perciò dee spezzarsi.
34 Any edible food wil be unclean if the water touches it; any drinkable liquid will be unclean, no matterwhat its container.	34 Qualunque cibo, di cui voi vi nudrite, se viene a versarvisi sopra dell'acqua, sarà immondo: e ogni liquore, che può beversi, se viene da qualsisia vaso (immondo) sarà immondo.
35 Anything on which the carcase of such a creature may fal wil be unclean: be it oven or stove, it mustbe destroyed; for they are unclean and you wil regard them as unclean	35 E se di tali bestie morte alcuna cosa viene a cadere sopra un vaso, questo sarà immondo: sieno forni, sieno pignatte co' piedi, contrarranno immondezza, e si distruggeranno.
36 (although springs, wel s and stretches of water wil remain clean); anyone who touches one of theircarcases wil be unclean.	36 Le fontane, le cisterne, e tutti i serbatoi d'acque non contrarranno immondezza. Chi toccherà un corpo morto in esse acque sarà immondo.
37 If one of their carcases fal s on any kind of seed, the seed will remain clean;	37 Se cade sopra il grano da seminare, non lo farà immondo.
38 but if the seed has been moistened and one of their carcases fal s on it, you wil regard it as unclean.	38 Ma ove uno abbia bagnato nell’acqua il seme, se questo poi sarà toccato da un corpo d'animale morto, immediatamente sarà impuro.
39 "If one of the animals that you use as food dies, anyone who touches the carcase wil be unclean untilevening;	39 Se morrà da sé un animale di quelli che è permesso a voi di mangiare, chi lo toccherà, sarà immondo fino alla sera:
40 anyone who eats any of the carcase must wash his clothing and will remain unclean until evening;anyone who picks up the carcase must wash his clothing and wil remain unclean until evening.	40 E chi n'avrà mangiato, o n'avrà portata qualche parte, laverà le sue vesti, e sarà immondo fino alla sera.
41 "Any creature that swarms on the ground is detestable for eating; it must not be eaten.	41 Tutto quello che si strascina sopra la terra, sarà abbominevole, e non sarà usato per nudrimento.
42 Anything that moves on its bel y, anything that moves on four legs or more -- in short all the creaturesthat swarm on the ground -- you will not eat, since they are detestable.	42 Voi non mangerete d’alcun di quegli animali, che avendo quattro piedi, cammina sul suo petto, o ha molti piedi, o si strascina per terra, perocché sono cose abbominevoli.
43 Do not make yourselves detestable with al these swarming creatures; do not defile yourselves withthem, do not be defiled by them.	43 Non vogliate contaminare le anime vostre, e non toccate alcuna di queste cose per non diventar immondi.
44 For it is I, Yahweh, who am your God. You have been sanctified and have become holy because I amholy: do not defile yourselves with all these creatures that swarm on the ground.	44 Perocché io sono il Signore Dio vostro: siate santi, perché santo son io: non contaminate le anime vostre per ragion di alcuno de' rettili, che si muovono sulla terra.
45 Yes, it is I, Yahweh, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God: you must therefore be holybecause I am holy." '	45 Perocché io sono il Signore, che vi ho tratti dalla terra d'Egitto per essere vostro Dio. Voi sarete santi, perocché io son santo.
46 Such is the law concerning animals, birds, al living creatures that move in water and al creaturesthat swarm on the ground.	46 Questa è la legge riguardante le bestie, e i volatili, e tutti gli animali viventi, che guizzano nell'acqua, o strisciano sulla terra,
47 Its purpose is to distinguish the clean from the unclean, the creatures that may be eaten from thosethat may not be eaten.	47 Affinché conosciate la differenza tra il mondo, e l'immondo, e sappiate quel che abbiate a mangiare, o rifiutare.
