1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.	1 למנצח על ידיתון לאסף מזמור קולי אל אלהים ואצעקה קולי אל אלהים והאזין אלי
2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.	2 ביום צרתי אדני דרשתי ידי לילה נגרה ולא תפוג מאנה הנחם נפשי
3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause	3 אזכרה אלהים ואהמיה אשיחה ותתעטף רוחי סלה
4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;	4 אחזת שמרות עיני נפעמתי ולא אדבר
5 I thought of former times, years long past	5 חשבתי ימים מקדם שנות עולמים
6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:	6 אזכרה נגינתי בלילה עם לבבי אשיחה ויחפש רוחי
7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?	7 הלעולמים יזנח אדני ולא יסיף לרצות עוד
8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?	8 האפס לנצח חסדו גמר אמר לדר ודר
9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause	9 השכח חנות אל אם קפץ באף רחמיו סלה
10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'	10 ואמר חלותי היא שנות ימין עליון
11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,	11 אזכיר מעללי יה כי אזכרה מקדם פלאך
12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.	12 והגיתי בכל פעלך ובעלילותיך אשיחה
13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?	13 אלהים בקדש דרכך מי אל גדול כאלהים
14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,	14 אתה האל עשה פלא הודעת בעמים עזך
15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause	15 גאלת בזרוע עמך בני יעקב ויוסף סלה
16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.	16 ראוך מים אלהים ראוך מים יחילו אף ירגזו תהמות
17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.	17 זרמו מים עבות קול נתנו שחקים אף חצציך יתהלכו
18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.	18 קול רעמך בגלגל האירו ברקים תבל רגזה ותרעש הארץ
19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.	19 בים דרכך ושביליך במים רבים ועקבותיך לא נדעו
20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.	20 נחית כצאן עמך ביד משה ואהרן
