1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.	1 Del maestro de coro... Yedutún. De Asaf. Salmo.
2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.	2 Mi voz hacia Dios: yo clamo, mi voz hacia Dios: él me escucha.
3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause	3 En el día de mi angustia voy buscando al Señor, por la noche tiendo mi mano sin descanso, mi alma el consuelo rehúsa.
4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;	4 De Dios me acuerdo y gimo, medito, y mi espíritu desmaya. Pausa.
5 I thought of former times, years long past	5 Los párpados de mis ojos tú retienes, turbado estoy, no puedo hablar;
6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:	6 pienso en los días de antaño, de los años antiguos
7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?	7 me acuerdo; en mi corazón musito por la noche, medito y mi espíritu inquiere:
8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?	8 ¿Acaso por los siglos desechará el Señor, no volverá a ser propicio?
9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause	9 ¿Se ha agotado para siempre su amor? ¿Se acabó la Palabra para todas las edades?
10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'	10 ¿Se habrá olvidado Dios de ser clemente, o habrá cerrado de ira sus entrañas? Pausa.
11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,	11 Y digo: «Este es mi penar: que se ha cambiado la diestra del Altísimo».
12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.	12 Me acuerdo de las gestas de Yahveh, sí, recuerdo tus antiguas maravillas,
13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?	13 medito en toda tu obra, en tus hazañas reflexiono.
14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,	14 ¡Oh Dios, santos son tus caminos! ¿Qué dios hay grande como Dios?
15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause	15 Tú, el Dios que obras maravillas, manifestate tu poder entre los pueblos;
16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.	16 con tu brazo a tu pueblo rescataste, a los hijos de Jacob y de José. Pausa.
17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.	17 Viéronte, oh Dios, las aguas, las aguas te vieron y temblaron, también se estremecieron los abismos.
18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.	18 Las nubes derramaron sus aguas, su voz tronaron los nublados, también cruzaban tus saetas.
19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.	19 ¡Voz de tu trueno en torbellino! Tus relámpagos alumbraban el orbe, la tierra se estremecía y retemblaba.
20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.	20 Por el mar iba tu camino, por las muchas aguas tu sendero, y no se descubrieron tus pisadas.
	21 Tú guiaste a tu pueblo cual rebaño por la mano de Moisés y de Aarón.
