Psalms 77

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.	1 Del maestro de coro. Al estilo de Iedutún. De Asaf. Salmo.
2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.	2 Invocaré a Dios con toda mi voz, gritaré a Dios, y él me escuchará.
3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause	3 Busco al Señor en el momento de mi angustia; de noche, tiendo mi mano sin descanso, y mi alma rechaza todo consuelo.
4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;	4 Yo me acuerdo de Dios, y me lamento; medito, y mi espíritu desfallece:
5 I thought of former times, years long past	5 tú no me dejas conciliar el sueño, estoy turbado, y no puedo hablar.
6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:	6 Pienso en los tiempos antiguos, me acuerdo de los días pasados;
7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?	7 reflexiono de noche en mi interior, medito, y mi espíritu se pregunta:
8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?	8 ¿Puede el Señor rechazar para siempre? ¿Ya no volverá a mostrarse favorable?
9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause	9 ¿Se habrá agotado para siempre su amor, y habrá caducado eternamente su promesa?
10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'	10 ¿Se habrá olvidado Dios de su clemencia o, en su enojo, habrá contenido su compasión?
11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,	11 Entonces dije –¡y este es mi dolor!–: «¡Cómo ha cambiado la derecha del Altísimo!».
12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.	12 Yo recuerdo las proezas del Señor, sí, recuerdo sus prodigios de otro tiempo;
13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?	13 evoco todas sus acciones, medito en todas sus hazañas.
14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,	14 Oh Dios, tus caminos son santos. ¿Hay otro dios grande como nuestro Dios?
15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause	15 Tú eres el Dios que hace maravillas, y revelaste tu poder entre las naciones.
16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.	16 Con tu brazo redimiste a tu pueblo, a los hijos de Jacob y de José.
17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.	17 Cuando te vieron las aguas, oh Dios, cuando te vieron las aguas, temblaron, ¡se agitaron hasta los abismos del mar!
18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.	18 Las nubes derramaron aguaceros, retumbaron los densos nubarrones y zigzaguearon tus rayos.
19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.	19 El trueno resonó en la bóveda del cielo, tus relámpagos iluminaron el mundo, tembló y se tambaleó la tierra.
20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.	20 Te abriste un camino entre las aguas, un sendero entre las aguas caudalosas, y no quedó ningún rastro de tus huellas.
	21 Tú guiaste a tu pueblo como a un rebaño, por medio de Moisés y de Aarón.
