[For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,1 To the choirmaster. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!
say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,3 Say to God, "How terrible are thy deeds! So great is thy power that thy enemies cringe before thee.
al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause4 All the earth worships thee; they sing praises to thee, sing praises to thy name." [Selah]
Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:5 Come and see what God has done: he is terrible in his deeds among men.
he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,6 He turned the sea into dry land; men passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,
who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause7 who rules by his might for ever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations-- let not the rebellious exalt themselves. [Selah]
Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;8 Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard,
he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.9 who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip.
God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,10 For thou, O God, hast tested us; thou hast tried us as silver is tried.
let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,11 Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction on our loins;
let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.12 thou didst let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet thou hast brought us forth to a spacious place.
I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,13 I will come into thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay thee my vows,
the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.14 that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.
I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause15 I will offer to thee burnt offerings of fatlings, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. [Selah]
Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.
To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.17 I cried aloud to him, and he was extolled with my tongue.
Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.19 But truly God has listened; he has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.20 Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
