¹ [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,	¹ Magistro chori. Canticum. Psalmus. Iubilate Deo, omnis terra,
² sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,	² psalmum dicite gloriae nominis eius, glorificate laudem eius.
³ say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,	³ Dicite Deo: “ Quam terribilia sunt opera tua. Prae multitudine virtutis tuae blandientur tibi inimici tui.
⁴ al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause	⁴ Omnis terra adoret te et psallat tibi, psalmum dicat nomini tuo ”.
⁵ Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:	⁵ Venite et videte opera Dei, terribilis in adinventionibus super filios hominum.
⁶ he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,	⁶ Convertit mare in aridam, et in flumine pertransibunt pede; ibi laetabimur in ipso.
⁷ who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause	⁷ Qui dominatur in virtute sua in aeternum, oculi eius super gentes respiciunt; rebelles non exaltentur in semetipsis.
⁸ Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;	⁸ Benedicite, gentes, Deum nostrum et auditam facite vocem laudis eius;
⁹ he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.	⁹ qui posuit animam nostram ad vitam et non dedit in commotionem pedes nostros.
¹⁰ God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,	¹⁰ Quoniam probasti nos, Deus; igne nos examinasti, sicut examinatur argentum.
¹¹ let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,	¹¹ Induxisti nos in laqueum, posuisti tribulationes in dorso nostro.
¹² let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.	¹² Imposuisti homines super capita nostra, transivimus per ignem et aquam, et eduxisti nos in refrigerium.
¹³ I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,	¹³ Introibo in domum tuam in holocaustis; reddam tibi vota mea,
¹⁴ the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.	¹⁴ quae protulerunt labia mea, et locutum est os meum in tribulatione mea.
¹⁵ I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause	¹⁵ Holocausta medullata offeram tibi cum incenso arietum, offeram tibi boves cum hircis.
¹⁶ Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.	¹⁶ Venite, audite, et narrabo, omnes, qui timetis Deum, quanta fecit animae meae.
¹⁷ To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.	¹⁷ Ad ipsum ore meo clamavi et exaltavi in lingua mea.
¹⁸ Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,	¹⁸ Iniquitatem si aspexi in corde meo, non exaudiet Dominus.
¹⁹ but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.	¹⁹ Propterea exaudivit Deus, attendit voci deprecationis meae.
²⁰ Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.	²⁰ Benedictus Deus, qui non amovit orationem meam et misericordiam suam a me.
