1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,	1 Al maestro del coro. Canto. Salmo.Acclamate Dio, voi tutti della terra,
2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,	2 cantate la gloria del suo nome,dategli gloria con la lode.
3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,	3 Dite a Dio: «Terribili sono le tue opere!Per la grandezza della tua potenzati lusingano i tuoi nemici.
4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause	4 A te si prostri tutta la terra,a te canti inni, canti al tuo nome».
5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:	5 Venite e vedete le opere di Dio,terribile nel suo agire sugli uomini.
6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,	6 Egli cambiò il mare in terraferma;passarono a piedi il fiume:per questo in lui esultiamo di gioia.
7 who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause	7 Con la sua forza domina in eterno,il suo occhio scruta le genti;contro di lui non si sollevino i ribelli.
8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;	8 Popoli, benedite il nostro Dio,fate risuonare la voce della sua lode;
9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.	9 è lui che ci mantiene fra i viventie non ha lasciato vacillare i nostri piedi.
10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,	10 O Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova;ci hai purificati come si purifica l’argento.
11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,	11 Ci hai fatto cadere in un agguato,hai stretto i nostri fianchi in una morsa.
12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.	12 Hai fatto cavalcare uomini sopra le nostre teste;siamo passati per il fuoco e per l’acqua,poi ci hai fatto uscire verso l’abbondanza.
13 I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,	13 Entrerò nella tua casa con olocausti,a te scioglierò i miei voti,
14 the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.	14 pronunciati dalle mie labbra,promessi dalla mia boccanel momento dell’angoscia.
15 I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause	15 Ti offrirò grassi animali in olocaustocon il fumo odoroso di arieti,ti immolerò tori e capri.
16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.	16 Venite, ascoltate, voi tutti che temete Dio,e narrerò quanto per me ha fatto.
17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.	17 A lui gridai con la mia bocca,lo esaltai con la mia lingua.
18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,	18 Se nel mio cuore avessi cercato il male,il Signore non mi avrebbe ascoltato.
19 but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.	19 Ma Dio ha ascoltato,si è fatto attento alla voce della mia preghiera.
20 Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.	20 Sia benedetto Dio,che non ha respinto la mia preghiera,non mi ha negato la sua misericordia.
