1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.	1 De Davi. Quando simulou alienação na presença de Abimelec e, despedido por ele, partiu. Bendirei continuamente ao Senhor, seu louvor não deixará meus lábios.
2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.	2 Glorie-se a minha alma no Senhor; ouçam-me os humildes, e se alegrem.
3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.	3 Glorificai comigo ao Senhor, juntos exaltemos o seu nome.
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.	4 Procurei o Senhor e ele me atendeu, livrou-me de todos os temores.
5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.	5 Olhai para ele a fim de vos alegrardes, e não se cobrir de vergonha o vosso rosto.
6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.	6 Vede, este miserável clamou e o Senhor o ouviu, de todas as angústias o livrou.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.	7 O anjo do Senhor acampa em redor dos que o temem, e os salva.
8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.	8 Provai e vede como o Senhor é bom, feliz o homem que se refugia junto dele.
9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.	9 Reverenciai o Senhor, vós, seus fiéis, porque nada falta àqueles que o temem.
10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.	10 Os poderosos empobrecem e passam fome, mas aos que buscam o Senhor nada lhes falta.
11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.	11 Vinde, meus filhos, ouvi-me: eu vos ensinarei o temor do Senhor.
12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?	12 Qual é o homem que ama a vida, e deseja longos dias para gozar de felicidade?
13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.	13 Guarda tua língua do mal, e teus lábios das palavras enganosas.
14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.	14 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem, busca a paz e vai ao seu encalço.
15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.	15 Os olhos do Senhor estão voltados para os justos, e seus ouvidos atentos aos seus clamores.
16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.	16 O Senhor volta a sua face irritada contra os que fazem o mal, para apagar da terra a lembrança deles.
17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.	17 Apenas clamaram os justos, o Senhor os atendeu e os livrou de todas as suas angústias.
18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.	18 O Senhor está perto dos contritos de coração, e salva os que têm o espírito abatido.
19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.	19 São numerosas as tribulações do justo, mas de todas o livra o Senhor.
20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.	20 Ele protege cada um de seus ossos, nem um só deles será quebrado.
21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.	21 A malícia do ímpio o leva à morte, e os que odeiam o justo serão castigados.
22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.	22 O Senhor livra a alma de seus servos; não será punido quem a ele se acolhe.
