1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.	1 Dávidtól, amikor őrültséget színlelt Abimelek előtt, és az továbbengedte őt.
2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.	2 Áldom az Urat minden időben, ajkamon van dicsérete szüntelen.
3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.	3 Az Úrban dicsekszik lelkem, hallják meg a szelídek s örvendezzenek.
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.	4 Magasztaljátok az Urat velem, dicsérjük együtt az ő nevét.
5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.	5 Kerestem az Urat és meghallgatott, minden rettegésből kiragadott engem.
6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.	6 Nézzetek rá és megvilágosultok, és arcotok meg nem szégyenül.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.	7 Íme ez a szegény kiáltott, az Úr meghallgatta, és kiszabadította minden szorongatásából.
8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.	8 Az Úr angyala az őt félőket körülsáncolja, és kiragadja őket.
9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.	9 Ízleljétek meg és lássátok, milyen édes az Úr, boldog az az ember, aki őbenne bízik!
10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.	10 Féljétek az Urat, szentjei mind, mert nem szenvednek szükséget, akik őt félik!
11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.	11 Gazdagok nyomorba juthatnak s éhezhetnek, de akik az Urat keresik, semmi jót sem nélkülöznek.
12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?	12 Jöjjetek, fiaim, hallgassatok rám, az Úr félelmére tanítlak titeket.
13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.	13 Ki az, aki élni akar, s jó napokat kíván látni?
14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.	14 Őrizd meg nyelvedet a gonosztól, s ajkad ne beszéljen csalárdságot!
15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.	15 Fordulj el a rossztól és tégy jót, keresd a békét és azt kövesd!
16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.	16 Az Úr szemmel tartja az igazakat, és imádságukat meghallgatja.
17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.	17 De az Úr tekintete ott a gonosztevőkön is, hogy eltörölje emléküket a földön.
18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.	18 Kiáltottak az igazak és az Úr meghallgatta, és minden szorongatásukból kiszabadította őket.
19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.	19 Közel van az Úr a megtört szívűekhez, és megmenti az alázatos lelkűeket.
20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.	20 Sok nyomorúság éri az igazakat, de az Úr valamennyiből kimenti őket.
21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.	21 Megőrzi minden csontjukat, egy sem törik el belőlük.
22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.	22 Gonoszságuk öli meg a bűnösöket, s megbűnhődnek akik gyűlölik az igazat.
	23 De szolgáit az Úr megszabadítja, és senki sem bűnhődik, aki benne bízik.
