NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.	1 Di Davide, quando si finse pazzo davanti ad Abimèlech, di modo che questi lo costrinse ad andarsene.
2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.	2 Voglio benedire il Signore in ogni tempo, la sua lode sia sempre sulla mia bocca.
3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.	3 Nel Signore si gloria l'anima mia, odano i poveri e si rallegrino.
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.	4 Magnificate con me il Signore ed esaltiamo il suo nome tutti insieme.
5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.	5 Mi sono rivolto al Signore e mi ha risposto, da ogni mia apprensione mi ha liberato.
6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.	6 Guardate a lui e sarete raggianti, i vostri volti non dovranno arrossire.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.	7 Questo misero ha gridato e il Signore l'ha udito, e da tutte le sue angustie lo ha liberato.
8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.	8 L'angelo del Signore s'accampa attorno a quelli che lo temono e li libera.
9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.	9 Gustate e vedete che buono è il Signore: beato l'uomo che in lui si rifugia.
10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.	10 Temete il Signore, o suoi santi, perché non c'è indigenza per quelli che lo temono.
11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.	11 I potenti sono caduti in miseria e soffrono la fame, ma quelli che si rivolgono al Signore non mancano d'alcun bene.
12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?	12 Venite, o figli, e ascoltatemi: il timore del Signore io voglio insegnarvi.
13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.	13 Qual è l'uomo cui piace la vita, che ama i giorni da gustare il bene?
14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.	14 La tua lingua trattieni dal male e le tue labbra dal parlare con frode.
15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.	15 Discòstati dal male e fa' il bene, ricerca la pace e corrile dietro.
16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.	16 Gli occhi del Signore sono per i giusti e le sue orecchie al loro grido d'aiuto.
17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.	17 L'attenzione del Signore è su quanti fanno il male per distruggere dalla terra la loro memoria.
18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.	18 Gridarono i giusti e il Signore li udì e da ogni loro angustia li liberò.
19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.	19 Vicino è il Signore a chi ha il cuore compunto, egli salva chi ha il cuore contrito.
20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.	20 Molti sono i mali del giusto, ma da tutti lo libera il Signore.
21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.	21 Egli custodisce tutte le sue ossa, non una di esse fu mai spezzata.
22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.	22 E' ucciso l'empio dalla sua malizia; quanti odiano il giusto ne scontano la pena.
	23 Redime il Signore l'anima dei suoi servi; non subiscono alcuna pena quanti in lui si rifugiano.
