1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.	1 Di Davide. Quando si finse pazzo in presenza di Abimèlec, tanto che questi lo scacciò ed egli se ne andò.
2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.	2 (Alef) Benedirò il Signore in ogni tempo,sulla mia bocca sempre la sua lode.
3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.	3 (Bet) Io mi glorio nel Signore:i poveri ascoltino e si rallegrino.
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.	4 (Ghimel) Magnificate con me il Signore,esaltiamo insieme il suo nome.
5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.	5 (Dalet) Ho cercato il Signore: mi ha rispostoe da ogni mia paura mi ha liberato.
6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.	6 (He) Guardate a lui e sarete raggianti,i vostri volti non dovranno arrossire.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.	7 (Zain) Questo povero grida e il Signore lo ascolta,lo salva da tutte le sue angosce.
8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.	8 (Het) L’angelo del Signore si accampaattorno a quelli che lo temono, e li libera.
9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.	9 (Tet) Gustate e vedete com’è buono il Signore;beato l’uomo che in lui si rifugia.
10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.	10 (Iod) Temete il Signore, suoi santi:nulla manca a coloro che lo temono.
11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.	11 (Caf) I leoni sono miseri e affamati,ma a chi cerca il Signore non manca alcun bene.
12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?	12 (Lamed) Venite, figli, ascoltatemi:vi insegnerò il timore del Signore.
13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.	13 (Mem) Chi è l’uomo che desidera la vitae ama i giorni in cui vedere il bene?
14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.	14 (Nun) Custodisci la lingua dal male,le labbra da parole di menzogna.
15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.	15 (Samec) Sta’ lontano dal male e fa’ il bene,cerca e persegui la pace.
16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.	16 (Ain) Gli occhi del Signore sui giusti,i suoi orecchi al loro grido di aiuto.
17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.	17 (Pe) Il volto del Signore contro i malfattori,per eliminarne dalla terra il ricordo.
18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.	18 (Sade) Gridano e il Signore li ascolta,li libera da tutte le loro angosce.
19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.	19 (Kof) Il Signore è vicino a chi ha il cuore spezzato,egli salva gli spiriti affranti.
20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.	20 (Res) Molti sono i mali del giusto,ma da tutti lo libera il Signore.
21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.	21 (Sin) Custodisce tutte le sue ossa:neppure uno sarà spezzato.
22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.	22 (Tau) Il male fa morire il malvagioe chi odia il giusto sarà condannato.
	23 Il Signore riscatta la vita dei suoi servi; non sarà condannato chi in lui si rifugia.
