Psalms 115

NEW JERUSALEM	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!	1 Alleluia. I had confidence, because of what I was saying, but then I was greatly humbled.
2 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'	2 I said in my excess, “Every man is a liar.”
3 Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.	3 What shall I repay to the Lord, for all the things that he has repaid to me?
4 They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.	4 I will take up the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.
5 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	5 I will repay my vows to the Lord, in the sight of all his people.
6 have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.	6 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his holy ones.
7 They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.	7 O Lord, because I am your servant, your servant and the son of your handmaid, you have broken my bonds.
8 Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.	8 I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of praise, and I will invoke the name of the Lord.
9 House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	9 I will repay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people,
10 House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	10 in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem.
11 You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
12 Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,
13 he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.
14 May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!
15 May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
16 Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.
17 The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,
18 but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.
