Psalms 115

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!	1 Non pas à nous, Yahvé, non pas à nous, mais à ton nom rapporte la gloire, pour ton amour et pourta vérité!
2 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'	2 Que les païens ne disent: "Où est leur Dieu?"
3 Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.	3 Notre Dieu, il est dans les cieux, tout ce qui lui plaît, il le fait.
4 They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.	4 Leurs idoles, or et argent, une oeuvre de main d'homme!
5 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	5 Elles ont une bouche et ne parlent pas, elles ont des yeux et ne voient pas,
6 have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.	6 elles ont des oreilles et n'entendent pas, elles ont un nez et ne sentent pas.
7 They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.	7 Leurs mains, mais elles ne touchent point, leurs pieds, mais ils ne marchent point, de leur gosier,pas un murmure!
8 Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.	8 Comme elles, seront ceux qui les firent, quiconque met en elles sa foi.
9 House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	9 Maison d'Israël, mets ta foi en Yahvé, lui, leur secours et bouclier!
10 House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	10 Maison d'Aaron, mets ta foi en Yahvé, lui, leur secours et bouclier!
11 You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	11 Ceux qui craignent Yahvé, ayez foi en Yahvé, lui, leur secours et bouclier!
12 Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,	12 Yahvé se souvient de nous, il bénira, il bénira la maison d'Israël, il bénira la maison d'Aaron,
13 he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.	13 il bénira ceux qui craignent Yahvé, les petits avec les grands.
14 May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!	14 Que Yahvé vous fasse croître, vous et vos enfants!
15 May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.	15 Bénis soyez-vous de Yahvé qui a fait le ciel et la terre!
16 Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.	16 Le ciel, c'est le ciel de Yahvé, la terre, il l'a donnée aux fils d'Adam.
17 The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,	17 Non, les morts ne louent point Yahvé, ni tous ceux qui descendent au Silence;
18 but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.	18 mais nous, les vivants, nous bénissons Yahvé dès maintenant et à jamais.
