Psalms 115

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!	1 Ne nekünk, Uram, ne nekünk, hanem a te nevednek adj dicsőséget,
2 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'	2 irgalmad és hűséged szerint. Hogy azt ne mondják a nemzetek: »Hol van az ő Istenük?«
3 Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.	3 Hisz a mi Istenünk az égben van, mindent megtesz, amit akar.
4 They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.	4 De a nemzetek bálványai ezüstből és aranyból vannak, s emberi kéz alkotásai.
5 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	5 Van szájuk, de nem szólnak, van szemük, de nem látnak.
6 have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.	6 Van fülük, de nem hallanak, van orruk, de nem szagolnak.
7 They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.	7 Van kezük, de nem tapintanak, van lábuk, de nem járnak, torkukkal nem kiáltanak.
8 Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.	8 Legyenek hozzájuk hasonlók a készítőik, és mindazok, akik bíznak bennük!
9 House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	9 Izrael háza az Úrban bízik, ő a segítőjük és oltalmazójuk.
10 House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	10 Áron háza az Úrban bízik, ő a segítőjük és oltalmazójuk.
11 You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	11 Akik félik az Urat, az Úrban bíznak, ő a segítőjük és oltalmazójuk.
12 Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,	12 Megemlékezik rólunk az Úr, s áldását adja ránk. Áldását adja Izrael házára, áldását adja Áron házára.
13 he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.	13 Áldását adja mindazokra, akik az Urat félik, kicsinyekre és nagyokra egyaránt.
14 May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!	14 Sokasítson meg titeket az Úr, titeket és fiaitokat.
15 May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.	15 Áldjon meg az Úr titeket, aki az eget és a földet alkotta.
16 Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.	16 Az ég az Úr ege, de a földet az emberek fiainak adta.
17 The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,	17 Nem a holtak dicsérnek téged, Uram, és egy sem azok közül, akik leszálltak a némaság honába,
18 but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.	18 hanem mi, akik élünk, dicsérjük az Urat, most és mindörökké.
