Psalms 115

NEW JERUSALEM	MODERN HEBREW BIBLE
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!	1 לא לנו יהוה לא לנו כי לשמך תן כבוד על חסדך על אמתך
2 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'	2 למה יאמרו הגוים איה נא אלהיהם
3 Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.	3 ואלהינו בשמים כל אשר חפץ עשה
4 They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.	4 עצביהם כסף וזהב מעשה ידי אדם
5 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	5 פה להם ולא ידברו עינים להם ולא יראו
6 have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.	6 אזנים להם ולא ישמעו אף להם ולא יריחון
7 They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.	7 ידיהם ולא ימישון רגליהם ולא יהלכו לא יהגו בגרונם
8 Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.	8 כמוהם יהיו עשיהם כל אשר בטח בהם
9 House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	9 ישראל בטח ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא
10 House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	10 בית אהרן בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא
11 You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.	11 יראי יהוה בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא
12 Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,	12 יהוה זכרנו יברך יברך את בית ישראל יברך את בית אהרן
13 he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.	13 יברך יראי יהוה הקטנים עם הגדלים
14 May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!	14 יסף יהוה עליכם עליכם ועל בניכם
15 May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.	15 ברוכים אתם ליהוה עשה שמים וארץ
16 Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.	16 השמים שמים ליהוה והארץ נתן לבני אדם
17 The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,	17 לא המתים יהללו יה ולא כל ירדי דומה
18 but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.	18 ואנחנו נברך יה מעתה ועד עולם הללו יה
