Psalms 103

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 [Of David] Bless Yahweh, my soul, from the depths of my being, his holy name;	1 לְדָוִד ׀ בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה וְכָל־קְרָבַי אֶת־שֵׁם קָדְשֹׁו
2 bless Yahweh, my soul, never forget al his acts of kindness.	2 בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה וְאַל־תִּשְׁכְּחִי כָּל־גְּמוּלָיו
3 He forgives al your offences, cures al your diseases,	3 הַסֹּלֵחַ לְכָל־עֲוֹנֵכִי הָרֹפֵא לְכָל־תַּחֲלֻאָיְכִי
4 he redeems your life from the abyss, crowns you with faithful love and tenderness;	4 הַגֹּואֵל מִשַּׁחַת חַיָּיְכִי הַמְעַטְּרֵכִי חֶסֶד וְרַחֲמִים
5 he contents you with good things al your life, renews your youth like an eagle's.	5 הַמַּשְׂבִּיַע בַּטֹּוב עֶדְיֵךְ תִּתְחַדֵּשׁ כַּנֶּשֶׁר נְעוּרָיְכִי
6 Yahweh acts with uprightness, with justice to all who are oppressed;	6 עֹשֵׂה צְדָקֹות יְהוָה וּמִשְׁפָּטִים לְכָל־עֲשׁוּקִים
7 he revealed to Moses his ways, his great deeds to the children of Israel.	7 יֹודִיעַ דְּרָכָיו לְמֹשֶׁה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲלִילֹותָיו
8 Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger and rich in faithful love;	8 רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן יְהוָה אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב־חָסֶד
9 his indignation does not last for ever, nor his resentment remain for al time;	9 לֹא־לָנֶצַח יָרִיב וְלֹא לְעֹולָם יִטֹּור
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve, nor repay us as befits our offences.	10 לֹא כַחֲטָאֵינוּ עָשָׂה לָנוּ וְלֹא כַעֲוֹנֹתֵינוּ גָּמַל עָלֵינוּ
11 As the height of heaven above earth, so strong is his faithful love for those who fear him.	11 כִּי כִגְבֹהַּ מַיִם עַל־הָאָרֶץ גָּבַר חַסְדֹּו עַל־יְרֵאָיו
12 As the distance of east from west, so far from us does he put our faults.	12 כִּרְחֹק מִזְרָח מִמַּעֲרָב הִרְחִיק מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת־פְּשָׁעֵינוּ
13 As tenderly as a father treats his children, so Yahweh treats those who fear him;	13 כְּרַחֵם אָב עַל־בָּנִים רִחַם יְהוָה עַל־יְרֵאָיו
14 he knows of what we are made, he remembers that we are dust.	14 כִּי־הוּא יָדַע יִצְרֵנוּ זָכוּר כִּי־עָפָר אֲנָחְנוּ
15 As for a human person -- his days are like grass, he blooms like the wild flowers;	15 אֱנֹושׁ כֶּחָצִיר יָמָיו כְּצִיץ הַשָּׂדֶה כֵּן יָצִיץ
16 as soon as the wind blows he is gone, never to be seen there again.	16 כִּי רוּחַ עָבְרָה־בֹּו וְאֵינֶנּוּ וְלֹא־יַכִּירֶנּוּ עֹוד מְקֹומֹו
17 But Yahweh's faithful love for those who fear him is from eternity and for ever; and his saving justiceto their children's children;	17 וְחֶסֶד יְהוָה ׀ מֵעֹולָם וְעַד־עֹולָם עַל־יְרֵאָיו וְצִדְקָתֹו לִבְנֵי בָנִים
18 as long as they keep his covenant, and careful y obey his precepts.	18 לְשֹׁמְרֵי בְרִיתֹו וּלְזֹכְרֵי פִקֻּדָיו לַעֲשֹׂותָם
19 Yahweh has fixed his throne in heaven, his sovereign power rules over all.	19 יְהוָה בַּשָּׁמַיִם הֵכִין כִּסְאֹו וּמַלְכוּתֹו בַּכֹּל מָשָׁלָה
20 Bless Yahweh, al his angels, mighty warriors who fulfil his commands, attentive to the sound of hiswords.	20 בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה מַלְאָכָיו גִּבֹּרֵי כֹחַ עֹשֵׂי דְבָרֹו לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקֹול דְּבָרֹו
21 Bless Yahweh, al his armies, servants who fulfil his wishes.	21 בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה כָּל־צְבָאָיו מְשָׁרְתָיו עֹשֵׂי רְצֹונֹו
22 Bless Yahweh, al his works, in every place where he rules. Bless Yahweh, my soul.	22 בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה ׀ כָּל־מַעֲשָׂיו בְּכָל־מְקֹמֹות מֶמְשַׁלְתֹּו בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה
