1 [Of David] Bless Yahweh, my soul, from the depths of my being, his holy name;	1 Di Davide.Benedici il Signore, anima mia,quanto è in me benedica il suo santo nome.
2 bless Yahweh, my soul, never forget al his acts of kindness.	2 Benedici il Signore, anima mia,non dimenticare tutti i suoi benefici.
3 He forgives al your offences, cures al your diseases,	3 Egli perdona tutte le tue colpe,guarisce tutte le tue infermità,
4 he redeems your life from the abyss, crowns you with faithful love and tenderness;	4 salva dalla fossa la tua vita,ti circonda di bontà e misericordia,
5 he contents you with good things al your life, renews your youth like an eagle's.	5 sazia di beni la tua vecchiaia,si rinnova come aquila la tua giovinezza.
6 Yahweh acts with uprightness, with justice to all who are oppressed;	6 Il Signore compie cose giuste,difende i diritti di tutti gli oppressi.
7 he revealed to Moses his ways, his great deeds to the children of Israel.	7 Ha fatto conoscere a Mosè le sue vie,le sue opere ai figli d’Israele.
8 Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger and rich in faithful love;	8 Misericordioso e pietoso è il Signore,lento all’ira e grande nell’amore.
9 his indignation does not last for ever, nor his resentment remain for al time;	9 Non è in lite per sempre,non rimane adirato in eterno.
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve, nor repay us as befits our offences.	10 Non ci tratta secondo i nostri peccatie non ci ripaga secondo le nostre colpe.
11 As the height of heaven above earth, so strong is his faithful love for those who fear him.	11 Perché quanto il cielo è alto sulla terra,così la sua misericordia è potente su quelli che lo temono;
12 As the distance of east from west, so far from us does he put our faults.	12 quanto dista l’oriente dall’occidente,così egli allontana da noi le nostre colpe.
13 As tenderly as a father treats his children, so Yahweh treats those who fear him;	13 Come è tenero un padre verso i figli,così il Signore è tenero verso quelli che lo temono,
14 he knows of what we are made, he remembers that we are dust.	14 perché egli sa bene di che siamo plasmati,ricorda che noi siamo polvere.
15 As for a human person -- his days are like grass, he blooms like the wild flowers;	15 L’uomo: come l’erba sono i suoi giorni!Come un fiore di campo, così egli fiorisce.
16 as soon as the wind blows he is gone, never to be seen there again.	16 Se un vento lo investe, non è più,né più lo riconosce la sua dimora.
17 But Yahweh's faithful love for those who fear him is from eternity and for ever; and his saving justiceto their children's children;	17 Ma l’amore del Signore è da sempre,per sempre su quelli che lo temono,e la sua giustizia per i figli dei figli,
18 as long as they keep his covenant, and careful y obey his precepts.	18 per quelli che custodiscono la sua alleanzae ricordano i suoi precetti per osservarli.
19 Yahweh has fixed his throne in heaven, his sovereign power rules over all.	19 Il Signore ha posto il suo trono nei cielie il suo regno domina l’universo.
20 Bless Yahweh, al his angels, mighty warriors who fulfil his commands, attentive to the sound of hiswords.	20 Benedite il Signore, angeli suoi,potenti esecutori dei suoi comandi,attenti alla voce della sua parola.
21 Bless Yahweh, al his armies, servants who fulfil his wishes.	21 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte sue schiere,suoi ministri, che eseguite la sua volontà.
22 Bless Yahweh, al his works, in every place where he rules. Bless Yahweh, my soul.	22 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte opere sue,in tutti i luoghi del suo dominio.Benedici il Signore, anima mia.
