1 [Of David] Bless Yahweh, my soul, from the depths of my being, his holy name;	1 Di Davide. Benedici il Signore, anima mia, quanto è in me benedica il suo santo nome.
2 bless Yahweh, my soul, never forget al his acts of kindness.	2 Benedici il Signore, anima mia; non tenere in oblìo nessuno dei suoi benefici.
3 He forgives al your offences, cures al your diseases,	3 Egli ha perdonato tutte le tue colpe, ti ha guarito da ogni malattia;
4 he redeems your life from the abyss, crowns you with faithful love and tenderness;	4 ha strappato dalla fossa la tua vita; della sua grazia e misericordia ti ha incoronato;
5 he contents you with good things al your life, renews your youth like an eagle's.	5 ha saziato d'ogni bene la tua età; s'è rinnovato come di aquila il tuo vigore giovanile.
6 Yahweh acts with uprightness, with justice to all who are oppressed;	6 Il Signore ha fatto atti di giustizia, gesti di equità verso tutti gli oppressi.
7 he revealed to Moses his ways, his great deeds to the children of Israel.	7 Fece conoscere a Mosè le sue vie, ai figli d'Israele le sue azioni.
8 Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger and rich in faithful love;	8 Benevolo e pietoso è il Signore, lento all'ira e grande in misericordia;
9 his indignation does not last for ever, nor his resentment remain for al time;	9 non dura per sempre la sua contestazione, non conserva in eterno la sua ira.
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve, nor repay us as befits our offences.	10 Non ci ha trattati secondo i nostri peccati; non ci ha ripagati in base alle nostre colpe.
11 As the height of heaven above earth, so strong is his faithful love for those who fear him.	11 Sì, com'è alto il cielo in confronto della terra, così è grande la sua misericordia sopra quelli che lo temono;
12 As the distance of east from west, so far from us does he put our faults.	12 come l'oriente dista dall'occidente, tanto allontanò da noi le nostre colpe.
13 As tenderly as a father treats his children, so Yahweh treats those who fear him;	13 Come un padre ha pietà per i suoi figli, così il Signore ha pietà per quanti lo temono.
14 he knows of what we are made, he remembers that we are dust.	14 Sì, egli conosce di che siamo fatti, egli si ricorda che siamo polvere.
15 As for a human person -- his days are like grass, he blooms like the wild flowers;	15 Come l'erba sono i giorni dell'uomo, come il fiore del campo così egli fiorisce.
16 as soon as the wind blows he is gone, never to be seen there again.	16 Lo sfiora il vento ed egli scompare, il suo posto più non si trova.
17 But Yahweh's faithful love for those who fear him is from eternity and for ever; and his saving justiceto their children's children;	17 La misericordia del Signore è da sempre, dura un'eternità su quanti lo temono; la sua giustizia raggiunge i figli dei figli
18 as long as they keep his covenant, and careful y obey his precepts.	18 per quanti custodiscono la sua alleanza e si ricordano di osservare i suoi precetti.
19 Yahweh has fixed his throne in heaven, his sovereign power rules over all.	19 Il Signore ha eretto il suo trono nel cielo, la sua regalità domina su tutto.
20 Bless Yahweh, al his angels, mighty warriors who fulfil his commands, attentive to the sound of hiswords.	20 Benedite il Signore, angeli suoi, voi prodi, esecutori dei suoi comandi, sempre pronti al cenno della sua parola.
21 Bless Yahweh, al his armies, servants who fulfil his wishes.	21 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte sue schiere, voi suoi ministri, esecutori del suo volere.
22 Bless Yahweh, al his works, in every place where he rules. Bless Yahweh, my soul.	22 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte sue opere, in qualunque parte del suo dominio. Benedici il Signore, anima mia.
